Accept the proposal

You thought for a while. The things that mysterious teacher said made a lot of sense. You wondered if the sword had missed its destination, but it didn't seem to be the case... but the sages said, however, that you made your own destiny. It was time to prove that theory.

"Very well then." You said. "I will accept your proposal."

"Right." The woman smiled broadly. She seemed really happy to have you at the Kaus house, you wondered if it was just because you were a good student, but for some reason it seemed more than just that to you.

She started chanting magic words, as if she were casting a spell and it started to take effect, things seemed to start to become distorted, blurred, as if they were accelerating ... but paying a little more attention you noticed that they were actually coming back, the students were walking backwards, the hall was starting to get full again ... the mysterious woman was going back in time! Even for powerful wizards it was technically impossible

You were also coming back, until you were standing in the hall again, in front of everyone, holding the sword. The mysterious woman's voice echoed in her mind:
