You nod, determination crossing your freckled face as you pocket your phone and turn your attention to exploring the penthouse. Rick has disappeared into his home office after mentioning something about "arranging shopping," giving you the perfect opportunity to snoop.

You pad silently through the luxurious apartment, your bare feet sinking into plush carpet as you search for traces of Rebecca. The guest bathroom yields nothing interesting, but when you open the vanity drawer, you discover a small leather makeup bag with the monogram "RMB" embossed in gold.

A warm sensation spreads throughout your body, concentrated particularly in your skin and at the base of your throat. There's no visible change, but you feel somehow... different. More nurturing, yet still desirable.
