Chapter 75 by sexyslave sexyslave

How does the meeting proceed?

About as well as can be expected.

"I can imagine," Felix remarked to Black Canary's comment. "I imagine a lot of these issues are what made some of you all become superheroes in the first place."

"That is far more true than you even realize," Black Canary sighed. "Hell, some of my fellow League members cling to their traumas like a shield. Or use it as fuel."

Felix grimaced. "That's not exactly healthy. I only just started studying this shit, but that's pretty obvious," he remarked.

Black Canary smiled. "One doesn't need to be a psychologist to tell you that much..." she replied.

"But one would need to be a miracle worker to tell it to the worst offenders in the League," Diana sighed. Felix grimaced in agreement.

Black Canary nodded. "I just want to be sure you know fully just what you're getting into... Well, at least as fully as we can confirm without violating patient confidentiality. We don't want to give you too many details about personal lives until you're actually ready to take this job," she explained. "So at the very least, I want to be sure you have a general idea."

Felix nodded. "It does sound like quite the challenge. But I can imagine all kinds of issues I might have to help members of the League with. Past traumas, worries about the future, balancing life with superhero life, extended lifespans for those who have them, and of course, potential love lives, whether with other members of the League, or civilians, each with their own challenges," he listed off.

Black Canary whistled slightly. "You've already given this a lot of thought," she replied, impressed.

Felix shrugged, and chuckled. "Hey, I read a lot of fantasy novels, a lot of them featuring edge lords as characters, and I'm pretty sure a lot of the mental issues these characters had are pretty similar to what some superheroes might... Plus, I'm an Empath, so I generally have a better idea of what people go through in general... honestly, not sure why I never considered a job as a therapist before. It feels like I was made for it, now that I think about it." He then smiled, and added, "I cant help with most of the bigger issues yet, it will be a while before I can do that much, but... I do have a cheat code for the love life stuff," he added, gesturing to Diana.

"Oh, so now I'm a cheat code?" Diana laughed. The three shared a laugh at this little running gag Felix had started.

Does the meeting start involving some fun?
