Ability: Army Surplus
{if@ Opponent's Pile > 2}As Robin was about to deal her next card, Fortuna gave an annoying "tut-tut" and wagged one finger in admonishment. "Come on, Red. You're in my camp, preparing to become one of my employees. You ought to at least pay me tribute before you start getting your greedy mitts all over my cards," she chuckled, tilting her chin up in a goading way.
"Do you want money? I would remind you, we're in the middle of the game. The easiest way to get everything I own is to go ahead and beat me," Robin responded with a lack of enthusiasm.
"That's a given! I mean that I want you to show me the proper respect. As such, I've decided to instate my own rule. I will give you a generous gift of either a one or two card to start your round. You can pick... but you won't know which until you turn over the card," the boss explained with a self-satisfied grin. "I can also walk away, if you're not interested in playing by my rules."
"Just let her do it," Betty whispered into Robin's ear. "Getting that 1 could be a pretty sweet deal!"
"But starting with a 2, tis rather unpleasant," Colline whispered into her other ear, as though they were using Robin's ear canals as a telephone system.
"Fair enough. I'll pick a card..." Robin sighed, pointing to one of the cards in Fortuna's hand while the other girl grinned her shit-eating grin.{endif}{if Opponent's Pile < 3}Fortuna blinked a few times, watching Robin's pause with confusion. Finally, she understood what was going on. "Oh, right! My special rules! The rules we established earlier! That's right, you have to pick a card, heh heh heh!" she cackled, her lips curling into a Grinch-like sneer. "One or two! Which is it going to be, subordinate?"
Robin sighed. "Sometimes, I'm too merciful for my own good."
"That's my line! You're lucky I haven't had you drawn and quartered by my gang's motorcycles for all of the insolence you've shown me already!" Fortuna spat back, putting back on her swarthy frown. "Just choose a card already!"{endif}
Robin picked {Army Surplus}!
"Now let's continue to the dealer's turnover."
