Abbie gets a hand from Jake

"I got you a piña colada." Jake had returned with beverages. "No idea if you like those."

"I do!" Abbie sat up and wiped some excess lotion on her legs. Jake handed her the cup, and she took a sip. "Mmm, it's good, too. Thank you!"

"Got myself one as well, and I think maybe I've never had one before." He drank a bit, and put it on the table next to the chairs. "You might get two drinks out of this. I don't think the coconut thing is for me."

Abbie laughed. "Maybe it's an acquired taste."

"The sun is pretty fierce today," Jake said. "I'm sure you don't need me to tell you to be careful with that perfect skin of yours."

Abbie smiled. "I got my sunscreen. I don't want to burn up like a lobster."

Jake ran his eyes up and down her body. If he had ever looked at a woman as much or in the same ways he looked at Abbie, he'd have been punched in the face. But it just felt good with Abbie, and she was never anything but accepting and appreciative of him. "You didn't finish your leg."

Abbie winked at him. "I didn't finish more than my leg, Jake." She took a bit more sunscreen, and rubbed it into her left foot, wiggling her toes as she did.

Jake smiled and stared off into the sky. "This is going to sound cliché and dumb and like I'm following a script, but -- do you need any help? Your back ... or neck or ... anything?"

"You read my mind."
