AWE-40: Arcadia Bay ("Save Arcadia Bay" Ending)

EVENT SUMMARY:

A collective consciousness event at Arcadia Bay, Oregon, psychically damaging a select number of individuals. The event was brought to the Bureau's attention by a thread on the social media site Crosstalk, where several individuals began speaking to one another regarding a series of recurring dreams that they had all experienced.

Content of dreams include:

• Off-season snow.
• A lunar eclipse.
• Two moons.
• Flocks of dying birds.
• Cetacean stranding.
• Images of deer, described as "ghostly" by some.
• [REDACTED].
• A category-3 hurricane (nicknamed "Hurricane Underhill" by Research interns).

EVENT RESPONSE:

Agents arrived November 1st and began investigating the individuals on the thread, interviewing each of them under the guise of therapists, local law enforcement, and amateur podcasters.

When interviewed, the civilians of interest bring up that these dreams all occurred after the funeral of [REDACTED], who had died a few days prior at Blackwell Academy following an incident involving a student, Nathan Prescott, who shot her with his father's gun.

Investigations have further tied [REDACTED] to two PCs from the Prime Candidate Program, P-10 ([REDACTED]) and P-12 (Maxine Caulfield), and further investigations are ongoing.

Investigations into the crime by local law enforcement have also uncovered the crimes of Mark Jefferson, a photography teacher and local celebrity, having been found guilty of drugging, ****, and **** of several female students, with the body of P-10 discovered and taken into Bureau custody. When interrogated, he admitted to doing so under the delusion of creating art by "capturing the innocence" of his victim, P-10's **** having been a case of manslaughter by Nathan Prescott via overdose of tranquilizing ****, who has been revealed to be his accomplice. Bureau rangers disguised as FBI agents interrogated both victims and confirmed that all crimes are non-paranatural, nor are they paranaturally motivated, and have since been transferred to the FBI for processing.

ADDENDUM:

Some researchers theorize that these dreams are a form of parautility, allowing them to foresee meteorological anomalies from an alternate timeline. Repeat mentions of P-12, a parautilitarian of interest currently under surveillance, being involved in their lives both waking and in their dreams only furthers this hypothesis. Permissions for a permanent research lab on-site to be established have been requested and are pending approval.
