“He said he’d let it go if I’d let him scan me and Glynda for his next game or something. We agreed, and it was weird.” Alice lifts one sneaker and wiggles it. “They were real thorough. They even scanned the bottoms of our feet, and like my toes and stuff. Glynda won’t talk about it.”
