ALICE Ch 40

Alice climbs into the bath, dutifully sitting across from Kylie. There’s enough space that they don’t even touch.

“Well, I guess it’s kind of an embarrassing story since it’s about me spying on my coach,” Alice says. It’s the first time she’s thought about this in a long time. “Um, but it’s not that crazy. It was just after practice one day, Coach Adella was feeling up Coach Riley’s butt. Understandable,” Alice adds. “She had a nice bod back then. But they weren’t doing that in front of us. Practice was over. Almost everyone had already been picked up. I was just gonna walk home, and something happened with Val’s ride. Like they were running late or something. She saw me watching them and came over too. So Coach Adella is like squeezing Coach Riley’s butt, and Coach Riley pretty much told her off. She called her out for acting like…”

“Like what?” Kylie asks after seconds pass without Alice speaking. The water bubbles softly. The bathroom is filling with steam.

“Well, like I act with you,” Alice says sourly. She rolls her eyes. “So that’s where it came from. Coach Adella was all like ‘I can’t help it, you’re too sexy,’ and Coach Riley was all “You can be horny and civilized at the same time,’ and stuff.”

Kylie laughs.

“So then me and Val pretended like we were already gone so they thought they were alone, and we watched them hook up.” Now Alice is blushing. She shrugs and looks away. “We were kids.”

Kylie looks amused. “They hooked up where they did soccer practice?”

“We were outdoors. It’s not as bad as it sounds. There was woods everywhere and this building was right by our practice field. Like a little electrical station or something? Just a little brick building with a locked door. They did it behind that. It was cold,” Alice recalls.

“Was that your sexual awakening?”

“Probably. But I was more worried about not letting Val notice my stiffy.”

“Did you have a crush on her?”

“No. She was a little shrimp. But we did have one girl on the team who had boobs already, so I was always trying to be her friend. She didn’t really notice me.”

Kylie looks sympathetic.

“But that’s OK. I’ve got you now,” Alice says brightly.

“For fuck’s sake.”

“I’m not shy about letting you see my stiffy! I mean, I wouldn’t show it to you without your consent.” Alice lifts her hands out of the water as a sign of surrender. “It’s not like I’m a Hollywood producer or something.”

Kylie laughs. “How have you survived this long?”

“Good looks and charm, I assume. You didn’t mind my stiffy when we were doing Facetime sex.”

“That wasn’t Facetime sex!” Kylie is suddenly aghast.

“What was it then?”

Kylie doesn’t have an answer for that. She just makes a face.
