“You don’t mind, do you?” Kylie asks, standing over the hot tub.

The Amazons have reacted to her arrival in a way that on a different day, Lora might find humorous. They quickly try to make room, and Kylie smiles and steps into the water, situating herself between two of them.

“Thanks,” she says, blushing shyly on command.

Lora wants to vomit, and Kylie’s presence has rendered her invisible. She could be noticed if she were to approach the hot tub, but that is the opposite of who she is. Of course, after waking up with Mio, she has a new appreciation for how jet lag and **** can change her personality. She takes a lounger a respectful distance from the appalling scene in the hot tub. She can gaze at the calm waters of the pool, but she can’t close her ears to Kylie’s outrageous conduct.

“Oh, are you lot waiting? Aren’t you cold? There’s room,” she’s saying.

That’s not a true statement. There’s no room. Lora grumpily glances over to see Kylie stand up and, still blushing, deposit her rear end in an Amazon’s lap, making room for one more to squeeze in. Lora worries she’s about to see a brawl, but the Amazons are much more calm and civilized than Kylie.

Lora closes her eyes and puts her head back. She pretends she’s in her flat, watching Succession and drinking good, French wine with a curry from the place on the corner. That’s all she wants.

She hears a giggle from Kylie.

Lora opens one eye. Kylie has come off her perch in a lap so that she can bend over to lean on the side of the tub, giving everyone a view of her taut rear as she coquettishly says something softly to one of the Amazons on the sidelines. Lora distinctly sees one of the Amazons look at Kylie’s ass and swallow.

Lora closes her eyes and lets out a sigh that comes out more like a growl.

Time slows down. Seconds become hours as she hears the little sounds from the direction of the hot tub. An appreciative grunt, a whispered word, a gasp from Kylie. Some watery noises of bodies moving.

When Lora looks, at first she isn’t sure what she’s seeing from Kylie’s posture as she sits in the lap of a different Amazon. Then she realizes that Kylie’s doing something with her feet out of sight. One big, brown hand rests on Kylie’s taut abdomen, straying upward. The Amazons are around her, exuding what Lora can only call… reverence. Kylie is visibly thriving on the attention. The hand moves to her hip, and the graceful, lithe way that Kylie’s body reacts to the slightest touch is oddly fascinating.

Lora shifts uncomfortably. Sure, she and Kylie are close and they probably know too much about each other, but it’s not like Lora’s ever seen Kylie in action. Some things are starting to make sense.
