Chapter 14 by The_Stranger The_Stranger

Who is this knight in shining armor?

A young man ["Good-ending" route]

John looks at his phone, a few brazen notifications for various apps he didn't care about popping up. He sets down his phone with a sigh. No new messages. He absentmindedly scratches his mostly buzzcut brown hair, trying to figure out what he's doing wrong. When he had first joined the army at eighteen, he was told he'd end up getting all the chicks. He had to admit, that was pretty true. What was also true was the fact that it's difficult to maintain a relationship with a young women when your deployed in another country for months on end. So he supposed he shouldn't have been surprised when he came back from the Middle East (yep, were still in there) to surprise his first ever girlfriend with a sudden return, only to find his buddy from high school balls-deep in her on his own bed. Yeah. Life sucked.

That was four months ago. Now, the recently turned 23 year old was drifting through life without much purpose. He needed an objective, something to keep him going, and there wasn't exactly much of that around him right now. The lease on his apartment was coming to a close, and he was about check his savings to see if he had enough to renew it when his phone buzzed. One new message.

John briefly considered ignoring it; He didn't really have the drive to figure out whether the message was a scam, or an old acquaintance trying to sell him something. His eyes, however, widened a bit when he logged back into his phone and looked at the message. It was a notification from one of his older dating apps. He'd mostly forgotten about it, probably because he wasn't matching with anybody. He raised an eyebrow as he read the notification. Someone had wanted to message him? That was odd. He quickly scans the woman's profile. It didn't look like a phisher. He browses through a number of the photos on the lady's account, most of which seemed to be... suggestive gym selfies, as well as a few weirdly candid-esque pictures. Clearly, this lady seems to value her, um, assets. "This has to be a scam". The man thinks to himself as he decides to put his theory to the test, and opens up a chat with the strange British woman.

The days pass by, and the more the man messages the woman, the more absolutely flabbergasted he is. He admitted, every time he'd message her, he expected to inevitably find a request for money, and then the charade would end. But it never came. Instead, he was met with an oddly charming woman that seemed weirdly into him. He could care less about the stranger aspects of their conversations, like how she seemed to insist on typing out her messages with an accent, mostly because every photo he saw of her made his member twitch. This woman was a tease of the highest order. Whether it was text messaging or phone calls, she always seemed to have something vaguely sexual on her mind when they interacted. It felt weirdly rehearsed sometimes. He didn't know how to explain it, but certain phrases seemed to almost "trigger" something with her. She was pretty **** to divulge much about herself, claiming she needed to "meet him in person". That was fine by him. John happily dug out one of his nicer outfits, and practically pranced over to his mustang to start it up. She definitely lived a bit out there, but driving forty minutes across the city and then a decent bit into the countryside woods was a small price to pay to finally meet this odd British nympho he had fallen in love with over the past few weeks.

Authors Note: This is a small set-up for a "happy-ending" Avery gets a boyfriend route of the story. This was my main plan for the story way back when. An alternative one would be a "porn-star route" that I've got a number of ideas for. Which is preferred by you all? And what else would you guys like to see? I honestly haven't used this site in a long time, so when I pop it open and see 50+ notifications, I'm pretty damn surprised. Thank you all that have supported and enjoyed this story over the years. I can't promise I'll finish it in the way that's wanted, or that it'll be as good as it was when I was really into writing it, but I hate the idea of leaving a project like this unfinished.
