Chapter 7 by pt3579 pt3579

Search the west side...

A wrong night for work

According to the notebook, Leon had to find the Lion statue, the Unicorn statue and the Maiden statue to get their corresponding medallions. The Lion was right behind the goddess statue on the second floor. Without any trouble he got the Lion medallion and unlocked the first of three locks of the secret tunnel.

The problem was, he didn’t know where the other two were, which meant that he had to venture deep into this station of the dead. He used the combat knife to cut those tapes on the electrical box and unfolded the path into west hallway.

“This is not how I imagined my first day...” He gathered himself to dive into the darkness.

The west hallway was worse than a mess. Several windows have been broken, which explained how the vampires breached the station. Corpses were everywhere that he didn’t dare to walk any faster. Besides, the tentacle monster that killed Elliot was still lurking in the station. He needed to be extremely cautious to stay alive.

Following the hallway he reached the operations room, where he found a map of the first floor and an unopened letter. The recipient was Barry Burton, which took him a while to remember that it was a S.T.A.R.S. member. The Special Tactics and Rescue Service. They were the best of the best. Considering they might be long gone by now, he opened the letter.

To Barry,

I’ve delivered the ammunition to the station today. Can you fucking tell me what are you gonna do with those silver-plated bullets? Those aren’t cheap, you know, and your goddamn Chief has been delaying my payments! Anyway, good luck, my friend.

Robert, September 12

So that was where those white-box bullets came from. Silver-plated? Sounds like the legends were true about silver being lethal to vampires. But, does that mean the S.T.A.R.S. knew about the vampires even before this? Leon kept thinking. He remembered the S.T.A.R.S. had been sent to the Arklay mountains to investigate a specific case and suffered heavy casualties. The case report, however, remained classified.

With his doubts he kept searching the room. The door to the backroom was lock with chains, so he had to climb over the broken window to get into the other side of the hallway. A fat uniformed vampire was staring at a vending machine and hasn’t noticed him yet. Nice.

He quietly slipped into the west office, where he found his desk, with a note written by Lieutenant Branagh. It was an assignment about unlocking his desk with the initials of his colleagues’ first names. In a corner between drops of blood there was another line saying “Be glad you’re not here, rookie.”

He looked up and saw the “Welcome Leon” cards on the ceiling, couldn’t help but imagine what if this was just a nightmare. He easily unlocked the two padlocks and grabbed the high-capacity magazine for his Matilda. He continued searching the office and, the moment he entered the deputy office, he raised his gun.

A brunette police officer, with her clothes ripped apart and her breasts exposed, was lying on the desk and shaking. Behind the desk was a vampire biting on her neck and sucking. Tears dropped from her eyes and she tried to reach her hand out to Leon, but failed as she quickly fell ****.

“Oh, you’re the rookie. Too bad. I was hoping Rita will change her mind.” The vampire, with blood around his mouth, looked up at the man who interrupted his feeding.

“Who the hell are you?” Leon, staring at the uniformed vampire, asked cautiously.

“Sergeant...Neil Carlsen. I’m sure you’ve seen my name on those desks outside. But it doesn’t matter now.” The vampire stood up and walked towards him.

“Stay back!” Leon stepped back to keep his distance.

“If you have those silver bullets, you would have shot me already.” Neil kept approaching, “You can shoot my head, but you can’t kill me. Come on, waste your ammo, ‘cause I won’t waste your blood.”

Leon continued backing up to the door of west office.

“Stop this ridiculous fight. You can join us and share the bliss of immorality.” Neil gazed into Leon’s eyes and gave the commands softly. However, shortly after, he said confusedly, “Why haven’t you obeyed me?”

“Shit...” Leon pushed open the door and ran out.

He could hear Neil chasing him but dared not to turn around to check. He rushed to the staircase, but there was a vampire standing silently around the corner on the stair. He couldn’t take the chance to go pass it so the only other option was to take refuge in the dark-room. After locking the heavy metal door behind him, he took a deep breath and turned on the light.

“We can do this all night, rookie.” Couldn’t break the door, Neil whispered from outside, “Come out, come out, wherever you are...”

This was not funny. The dark-room was a dead end. Leon started to search the room and tried to think of ways out. Luckily in a storage box, he found a Samurai Edge, used by the S.T.A.R.S., with a whole clip of 15 silver bullets in it. In astonishment, he reloaded his Matilda with silver bullets and prepared to fight.

The moment he unlocked the door, Neil pushed it open and knocked him away. Leon barely held the gun with the dizziness, but by the time he tried to get up, he was pinned on the floor by Neil.

“You’ve finally begun to understand, rookie! Don’t be afraid, it will be wonderful!” Neil laughed with his fangs bared. When he lifted up his head and was about to bite, he saw the Samurai Edge and the empty magazine not far away. His smile froze.

“Agreed.” Leon thrust his gun under Neil’s chin.

With a loud bang, the right half of Neil’s face started burning. Neil screamed and tried to **** Leon with his remaining strength. Knowing he slightly missed the first shot, Leon didn’t hesitate and fired again. The second shot completely blasted Neil’s head and his body was slowly turning into dust. Survived once again, Leon lay tiredly on the floor and gasped for air.

“Why did you kill him?” A sad, haunting female voice came from the door.

Leon immediately tried to grab his gun, but the female seemed to be faster. She kicked the Matilda away, choked his neck with one hand, lifted him up and pushed him against the wall. While struggling, Leon realized that this was the female officer being fed on by Neil before. She was totally topless with her hair dishevelled and staring at him with her dull, blue eyes.

Leon tried to get her hand that **** him off or push her away, but both failed.

“Why? We could be happy together forever. Why?” Her strength was slowly growing and, as she looked at Leon’s hand that trying to push her, she smiled, “Do you want me? Come here...”

She grabbed Leon’s hand to touch her breast. With the sensitive touching, she moaned loudly. Bearing the stronger and stronger arousal, she opened her mouth with her canines clicking, turning into two tiny, sharp fangs.

“I won’t drain you, so that you may keep a bit of your mind when you wake up...We can hunt together, feed together...” She licked her fangs with a wicked smile and her eyes turned scarlet, “You can take his place and be with me forever...”

How can Leon break free?
