A walk

“I would love a walk” Daniel responds quickly…”I’ve been into my fitness and wouldn’t mind a long walk”

Emily smiles and stands up “sure I’ll just get my shoes on and we’ll go?” Daniel nods and stands up with her.

Emily then notices how tall Daniel is. She knows he was tall but up close she took notice and yes he was definitely into his fitness…he’s tall, fit and not bad looking, I mean where else would James get it from eh? Daniel was already in his shorts and t shirt so perfect for a walk.

Daniel offers to drive and Emily directs him to the start of the trail she normally takes.

Emily and Daniel walked for hours catching up, laughing, almost crying everything…pretty much as if they were really good friends which shocked Emily but loved it as it was just so nice.

About 3 hours into the walk they realised how far they had gone and decided to make their way back…it was still light so wasn’t that much of a concern. On the way back Emily gets a call from James…more or less telling her that he’s going to be staying at the golf course all weekend…some special price at the course or something…Daniel could tell Emily was flustered but she did a good job at hiding it. Being the nice and understanding girlfriend she is…she smiled told him to have a nice time and she’ll see him when he gets back.

Daniel asked Emily if she was ok and Emily explained what’s going on. Daniel looked dissapointed in his son but didn’t want to make it awkward so just continued walking back with her.
