A trip to the zoo

To Stan’s complete surprise Eliorah didn’t say anything after he had bitten her. No words were said for a long moment in which he could hear a pin drop. To him this felt only more like a punishment. So he finally dared to ask his bleak looking sister something.

“Are you alright?”

He asked feeling both scared and worrisome as he looked at his older step sister. Her chest heaving a bit as her pupils dilated and now looked at him…questioningly. As her mind couldn’t recall a moment she had been with her step brother that could have made her feel uncomfortable. Though as she is going to voice this out loud, the door opens again and the nurse walks in.

“There there, I finally found the stupid bandage set, I swear to god I had a set laying in my desk but…-“

The nurse trails off for a bit while looking over the place on Stan’s head she swore which had been bleeding. Though she could only find dried up blood on his hair. Which she doesn’t utter her surprise too, just thinking that a kid his age probably had been shocked because of some dried up blood. So instead of using the found bandage, she got a small bucket with warm water and cleaned him all up.

‘Two months later’

School seemed to be much more pleasant for Stan after his step sister had stood up for him. She even seemed to be more around then usual, probably to make sure everything is alright. At least, that is what Stan thinks.

A deep rooted sense of belonging rushed through the spine of Eliorah as she looked from a distance at her little step brother. Not one that was romantic of any sort. It more or less felt like how a dog would think itself loyal to its master. In a way, she felt like she needed to protect him. While also feeling this intens bond that they somehow shared. But without her being able to determine how that had suddenly happened, she couldn’t understand why.

Today she was going to miss her stepbrother though. It was something that she just knew that was going to happen. While she couldn’t do anything about it as the class of little kids entered the buss. As Eliorah’s class had to get into a different one. She was going to the Museum while Stan would go to the zoo. She had heard it all week around dinner as Stan had been looking forward to seeing the lions and elephants. Her dad hadn’t been at all interested. While her mom had put the effort in tenfold. Eliorah had wanted to share in her little brother’s glee, but she didn’t want anyone to know about her small but growing obsession.

In the meantime Stan was seating himself in the bus. A mousy girl named Lauren with brown wavy hair. As Stan sat besides her because everywhere people had already seated themselves, she looked up at him. Her green emerald eyes looked at him through some thick glasses, somewhat surprised, as she then quickly averted her gaze to the ground. Her wavy locks falling off her shoulder, exposing her neck. As Stan’s instincts took over and bit into the soft flesh of his next victim. While the buss ronked under him. Moving itself to the zoo as Lauren struggled for a second with pain, to then muffle her mouth with her own hand.
