A tree dryad is summoned.

There is a bright flash of light as the gems resonate together. I look away because of the brightness and when my eyes finally adjust, I find that we were not alone. Standing in front of the female thief is a nymph-like figure of green hued skin. She is willowy in figure with thin, leaf-like draperies hanging loosely over her to barely cover her modesty. She looks through me with uninterested eyes.

"What is this?!" I ask.

"You wanted to see, didn't you?" Jane replies. "Well, I'll let you two get acquainted. Nemo, meet Blossom, Blossom, Nemo." She wraps her arm around the small dryad as if it is a close friend and says, "See that you keep him occupied while I run away, Blossy!"

With that, the Red haired rogue runs off toward the city, leaving me with her friend. The tree creature does not stand idly by, it raises its hand toward me, fingers stretched out. Each digit transforms, becoming bramble vines which shoot toward my feet and wrap around them. I kick them away, but they cling tighter. I grab my machete and hack the them into twigs and pieces. I look back at my attacker, the air fills with fragrant red petals. They smell sweet and comforting. My instinct tells me I am in danger, but my body told me to calm down. I feel myself grow heavy, my eyelids droop as the urge to lay down and rest becomes harder and harder to fight. It was a sleep spell of some form! Suddenly alert to the peril, I covered my nose and mouth and tried to escape, but my pace was slowed by the new patch of brambles clinging to my feet.

I take a quick glance at my bag, checking to see if there is any way to stop the green lady's trickery. Jane Doe would be making her getaway about now and I need to move fast to catch up. Not only was she ungrateful for my rescue, she would turn around and attempt to attack me as well? I don't know who I was in my past life, but I'd like to think that even then, I would not let this sort of action stand.
