A tigress’ emotions

When you wake in the morning, you find Marin laid atop your chest, her muscular arms hugging you. You turn your head to see a smiling Lylah beside you, and she gives you a kiss when she sees you’re awake. You shift slightly, and Marin grumbles, holding you tighter. Lylah chuckles quietly. “I’ll go get cleaned up, no need to wake the sleepyhead.”

Despite being a little older than you, Lylah seems none the worse for wear after the exhausting evening. You realize that you’re not as sore after the exertions of last night as you expected. It seems that the exercise you’ve gotten since coming to the old world has improved your conditioning as well as your physique.

While your mind wanders, you gently stroke Marin’s hair, and you smile to see her catlike ear twitch. Her orange eyes open, and she smiles back at you. “Good morning, Greg. I think I could get used to this!”

You laugh. “I certainly can’t complain either.”

She gives you a squeeze. “Thank you for indulging me last night. I know it was an odd request.”

You shake your head. “Not that odd. And it was a lot of fun, too.”

Marin chuckles. “That’s what I mean, though. It was fun, and wild, but not a normal first time between two people. I’m sure you’ve noticed, all of us have our hang ups. Helja with her shyness, Hayley with her weight. Me, it’s a fear of getting too…romantic, I guess. I hide it by being silly, but caring that much about someone makes me nervous.”

You nod. “I understand. You’re afraid of getting too attached.”

She sighs. “Sort of. I’m scared more of what happens if something goes wrong. What if I’m not good enough, or what if they’re not as good as I thought they were.”

You listen, still stroking her hair. She seems to cling to you as she speaks. “And then you come along, and all of that just vanished. I feel comfortable around you, safe. And you seem to genuinely like me.”

You smile. “I do, quite a bit.”

She chuckles. “I suppose confessing this when I’m naked on top of you, after a night of wild sex is a bit silly too.”

You shrug, a gesture made difficult by the big tiger girl laying on top of you. “I’m always willing to listen, this just makes it harder to pay attention is all.”

Marin laughs. “Thanks for listening, Greg. I wanted to tell you something else. Sanni, she..she has her insecurities too. She’s never really been in a relationship, not a real one. With us it’s more like friends with benefits, but romance isn’t a thing she’s done. I’m telling you this because I think you can make her as happy as you’re making the rest of us. I just want you to be careful with her. Let her make the moves as she feels comfortable, but make sure she knows how you feel as well.”

You nod. “I’ll treat her well. I don’t want anyone getting hurt here.”

Marin smiles. “I know. Again, thanks for listening, and sorry for getting all serious. I suppose we should get up now anyway.”

Before you can answer, you see the playful glint in her eye once again. “Oh, and make sure to tell Naia that she’s next!”
