A ticket to another world?

"So let me get this straight," Kazuma mused as he hefted the box Wiz had presented them. "This box is supposed to send whoever is around it when it's opened to another world?"

"Yep!" Wiz beamed. "How does that sound? Visiting a whole new world!"

'...been there, done that, not impressed so far,' Kazuma mentally deadpanned. "What's the catch?"

"Um... Not sure there's much of one actually," Wiz replied. "...all I know about the other world is its name... And that you can only go there for 12 hours... And you lose all of your memories of the visit upon returning."

"Rip off!" Ria sniggered, having been floating nearby, unseen by Wiz and Xylixia.

Kazuma agreed. "Forget it, find someone else to buy it!" he replied, turning to go.

"Wait, no one else would buy it!" Wiz cried. "Please, I need to make rent this month!"

"Stupid undead, calling us out to this store to sell us this junk..." Aqua snorted, snatching it up. "It's obviously fake, maybe I should confiscate it..."

"Give it back Aqua," Cremea lectured. "That's stealing... Even if the object IS worthless. Who'd want to go to another world just to forget everything after? What's the point of a trip if you can't make memories?"

"And if you don't know where it goes..." Megumin mused.

"Yes, I know it's risky, I only know it goes to a place called "Japan,"" Wiz admitted as Aqua begrudgingly gave the item back.

Kazuma froze. "...just so you know, there are many, many versions of Japan across the multiverse," Ria told Kazuma, seeing what he was thinking. "It might not be your own..."

"... considering that there's a link between my Japan and this world due to the deities sending people from there to here, I'm inclined to think that my Japan is the most likely one to be sent to," Kazuma replied. "I'll risk it." Ria nodded, seeing his point as Kazuma walked back to the crying Wiz. "I'll take it," he asserted, surprising his party.
