A test of guts that goes wrong.

Morning came, and Jaune slowly woke up to a shrill shriek coming from Team RWBY's dorm. "What?" he groaned groggily as he slowly sat up.

"Guys, we slept in! We need to hurry, or we'll be late to our first class!" he and his team heard Ruby's panicked voice from across the hall. Needless to say, THAT got everyone on both teams up quick.

"Crap, she's right!" Jaune yelped as he looked at the clock. They hurried to get ready in a panic, and then quickly rushed out the door, Team JNPR not far behind Team RWBY, Jaune making damn sure he had the lamp safely in his bag. Thankfully, they made it on time, with only minutes to spare.

Professor Port's class was... Rather dull to say the least. He seemed to be more interested in telling stories about his glory days than actually teaching. And while said stories might have been pretty interesting, his delivery was rather long winded, and he just droned on... and on... and on...

However, eventually, the professor suddenly made things interesting when a cage containing a Grimm was brought in, and Professor Port asked who had the guts to prove their mettle against said Grimm. Before anyone else had the chance, Weiss suddenly volunteered. Jaune turned to look at her, able to tell that she was out to prove something. He hadn't grown up with seven sisters without gaining some level of ability to read girls, after all... Some.

Professor Port enthusiastically agreed to let Weiss test her skill and courage, and had the cage opened as she stared it down. The Grimm, a Boarbatusk, came charging out, and Weiss began attacking it. Rather than focusing on her however, it suddenly veered off, charging right towards the class instead of its opponent... Specifically, it was going for Jaune.

"Crap, what the!?" Jaune shouted, somehow having enough presence of mind to grab his bag as he dove for cover. The boar like Grimm smashed through his desk, even as the class panicked and pandemonium erupted. And to make matters worse, it turned right back towards him and charged again, Ruby's eyes widening as she quickly understood what was happening.
