A swarm of rare Wasp Slimes

As the party got closer to the town they heard a glorpy agitated buzzing sound, they had only heard this sound maybe 3 or 4 times before, the sound of a rarer slime breed known as the Wasp Slime, it sounded like a small swarm of the creatures. Marcy quickly prepared her cold and freezing spells, the rest of the party prepared by bringing their cold-themed weapons to bear. As soon as the swarm came into view (and range), a massive Cone of Cold flew forth at the swarm, the moment it hit Sharon was already upon the fray with her Arctic Crash (a heavy, two-handed mace she usually kept in her enchanted bag that had flanges in the shape of snowflakes), Lucy and Jezabel were firing off arrows specifically made with blunted heads that had Cold enchantments on them. After the initial blast, Marcy cast a spell that seven spears of ice to form in the air a foot or so in front of her before launching into the swarm, she immediately followed this up by getting ten feet closer and unleashing another Cone of Cold. Thankfully for Sharon, one of the effects of her mace was to protect her from Cold effects and weather conditions as long as she held it, so the spell did absolutely nothing to her.

The fight was over in under a minute, all of the women were crushing the frozen bits of the slimes under their feet, then Marcy gathered all the frozen fragments up into jars, vials, and the like for potential study and use later. While Marcy wasn't the most capable researcher when it came to alchemy, she was the best suited among the party for the job. They could probably use a dedicated healer, but none they had spent any measure of time with was willing to spend more than a few days with them at most. They could also do with a more dedicated alchemical researcher, but none they had encountered so far were willing to leave their lab for more than an hour or two at most. Maybe they would get lucky and find one or both to join them. After all, this dungeon was supposed to be so big it could take the better part of a year to properly explore all the floors and rooms.
