A surprise visitor

You look around the cottage, finding a living room, dining room and a kitchen on the lower floor, and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. It looks like your roommate has already moved into one bedroom, although there is no sign of him except for a suitcase and some clothes in the closet.

Shrugging, you take your case to the other room and unpack, carefully putting your stuff away before heading back downstairs. You consider taking a walk and exploring the campus, but instead decide to relax for a while. Kicking your shoes off, you stretch out on the couch, letting your mind drift over the events of the day. Within moments you slip into a nap.

You're woken by a knock on the door. Rolling off the couch you rub the sleep out of your eyes and pad towards the door. Opening it you're surprised to see Valerie Cummins standing there.

"Um....hi Coach Watts," she says, blushing and dropping her eyes. You can see she has been crying. "If it's not too much, could I come in for a moment?"
