A surprise for Caroline

At the bottom of the stairs, Minnie took a moment to compose herself. While this was the first time that she was going 'out' as Granny Minnie, there was still one major obstacle - her 'mother' Caroline.

While she would no doubt understand (hopefully), that didn't make this any less tense. No doubt questions would be asked and in turn - answers would have to be given.

"Here goes nothing." she thought and entered the dining room. Finding Caroline already there, her gaze snapped over to Minnie.

"If I didn't know any better, I would think that I had a whole other branch of the family tree that I hadn't been made aware of." Caroline greeted, catching Minnie by surprise. Looking away, her entire train of thought had been derailed in the matter of a single sentence. Taking a moment to meet Caroline's gaze, a chuckle escaped her lips.

"Wait. You're fine with this?" Minnie blurted out, taking a moment to regain her composure. While a challenge, she did eventually manage to do so.

"Of course. I just hope you know that there is no going back if you go through with this." Caroline answered and Minnie nodded. Of course, that meant having to decide her next step in the process...
