You notice about a meter away from the edge of the swamp is a rock sticking out of the muck. Beyond that you see another rock about a meter away, and then another after that.
You can just see a whole chain of them just sticking out from the stuff all the way across. You smile and ready yourself to jump.
Thankfully you kept a fit and trim figure, all those years of playing sports has kept you in great athletic shape.
You jump, and land on the rock. Its solid and unmoving, causing you to smile. You can see around you some large bubbles breaking the surface of the swamp, causing some of the rubber to shoot out everywhere, showering you in a few large heavy drops. You pay them no heed, and instead line up for the second rock and jump.
Landing on the rock causes you to smile wider, and then a moment later more bubbles burst around you, splattering you again.
More and more bubbles burst around you, causing you to shriek and quickly jump to the next rock. You only have a few moments to try and peel the drying rubber off you before the bubbles start again.
You only get to pull a few spots off before your hit with several dozen more droplets, then you jump again.
The bubbles start again. The fact they only seem to pop around you is very disconcerting. Whats more the rubber that's landing on you is building up all over your body and starting to merge together on your legs with the existing congealed droplets. Its also starting to make you feel a lot warmer there.
You look down and see your feet are now encased in the stuff as are your lower legs completely. Your thighs still have some patches of skin showing, but as soon as you remove some of it, a lot more has already landed on you.
As more of the rubber pops all around you, showering you with yet more of the stuff you desperately look up to see the next rock, and notice the other side is a lot closer than you realised!
