A strange board game with cards and dices

FYI, the premise of this thread is heavily inspired by the story A Game of Change on the website Cyoc. I'll put my own storylines after this chapter, but I just don't want you to think I'm stealing someone else's work in case you already know this story.

-So, there's a board. I see little figurines. Ah, and I see blue, red and green cards. A pair of dice, too.

-Aren't there rules indicated somewhere?

-No, but it doesn't look too difficult. I guess every time you stop on a square, all you have to do is draw a card of the same color. Wanna give it a try?

Everyone looked at each other for a moment, before shrugging their shoulders.

-Why not, if we don't understand anything, we can always find something else.

The group settled around the mysterious board, while Matt formed the piles of cards. The blue cards had the inscription MC, the red cards TF and the green cards TG.

-Did you see the figurines? Audrey asked.

Everyone turned to the small metal objects. They were statuettes representing human figures.

-Well, what's wrong with them? Matt asked, annoyed.

-Don't you think...they look like us?

Deborah lingered for a few moments on the figurines. She had to admit that one of them had the same hairstyle as her, as well as the same silhouette. Another looked more busty and curvy, just like Laura. One of them represented a long-haired man reminiscent of Matt.

-Meh, said the young man, surely a coincidence. Don't tell me your afraid of a board game. So, who wants to start ?
