"Yes, me. I'd like to sit and chat with you for a while, if you don't mind," Gray said calmly.

"I have time for you, only if you have money for me," Dasha told him bluntly, "is my job, not social club."

"Of course I understand," Gray responded civilly, "perhaps this will lubricate our conversation?"

The stack of ruble notes he produced from his pocket caught her attention immediately. She took what he offered, and sat down on the arm of an old wooden chair.
