Chapter 4

What was that?
A rifle
The sound of a cocking rifle sent a cold shiver down my spine.
How did the police find me?
I just need a chance to explain!
I open my crusted eyes and am instantly blinded by the roaring Montana sun. The yellow orb sat high in the sky exposing the time of day. It must be around noon.
I was reminded of my current situation by the intimidating mass of a man standing in front of me.
Don't make any sudden moves girly.
He spoke with a thick rural north west accent. Every word was deliberately sounded out. He was breathing quietly staring down the sight of his rifle. His eyes fixed to the woodlands behind me.
Alright lass. I'm gonna need you to stand up slowly... Then turn around and stand behind me facing the woods.
I...
No don't talk. Just do ya hear?
I slowly pulled myself up. This mountain Man not even offering a helping hand. His eyes locked on the trees.
Only now did I remember how hungry I was my throat corse from crying and my stomach rawred for food.
Without another sound I pulled myself to my feet and shambled over to stand behind this strange man. And with this I got a closer look at him.
He was a very tall man. Around 6 foot 6. (198cm)
He was likely in his mid to late 30s but he had a young face. He had a large unkempt beard and ocean blue eyes . His hair was a dark brown and hung down to his shoulders. He had a leather cowboy hat on a small ensignia on it. The rest of his body was covered in a thick bison cloak. The fur looked warm and soft only escalating my coldness.
(Hi so this picture is only for the coat. Just occurred that people might not know what a bison cloak is also if anyone knows how to make it so the picture appears not a link id a appreciate a comment explaining it. Anyway back to the story.)

Stand back little lady. We ain't alone out hear.
I cast my eyes in the direction of the woods. I briefly spot a grey shape behind a tree.
Wolves.
Suddenly the man's breathing stops.
He's gonna shoot it.
Do I shove him?

Lost in big sky country
A man or woman is lost in rural Montana. Perhaps they went on a hike from Helana. Perhaps they were kidnapped and escaped. Who knows?
