A revelation

Morning came and yawning my head pounded and looking over to my side there where Mary should be she wasn't Grace and Hudson were wrapped in each others arms and looking up I groaned clutching my head I pulled my trousers on and walking down the stairs was met by a nervous Mary who sat in the corner nervously waited for something, I pulled my bullet proof vest on and sitting opposite her asked, "What's wrong?"

"Are you going?" I shook my head before clutching it commented, "Not in this state, I may go out and see if any Peggies are packing down somewhere but apart for that, my scouts from Jacob's land should be back, why?" she smiled at that before shaking her head returned to being panicked, "Just waiting for something!” she looked at her watch and taking a breath lifted her arms up to look at a test, “Just as I worried!” I took the test out of her hand and seeing the Y, I asked, “Mine?” she nodded before saying, “You are the only one that has been finishing inside of me... I can’t have a baby, not here not with all this, you may not even live until the baby is born!” I grabbed her hand before smiling said, “I will look after you both, trust me!” I looked at her before saying, “Holland Valley is secure and Faith wouldn’t touch you if she knew you were dear to me. I am taking out Jacob soon so it won’t be long trust me. The further I push forward the safer you will be!” she nodded and kissing her cheek I said, “You’ll have to go shopping with Kim for baby stuff!” she laughed causing her to say, “When their dad’s play soldiers!” I got up too quickly causing me to clutch my head before twirling said, “Never knew you loved the soldier look!” she smiled before joking, “I knew there was a reason I sleep with you for!” I nodded as we heard steps come down the stairs, “Rook, do you need me today?” I shook my head before saying, “I am taking a day or two off before pushing north, Nick is having a few days off as well, I am not going to use him unless I have to, not with the child being born, take as much time off as you want!” Grace nodded before smiling said, “Thanks, me and Nance were just going to go fishing!” I nodded before looking at her said, “Don’t forget your rifle!” she nodded as she slung it over her back and smiling she said, “Peace! Oh how i’ve missed you!”
