A pure white room

I could feel a warm, flat surface against my my face as I started to come to. Remembering the strange experience I had the night before, I quickly sat up and shot open my eyes. I immediately had to close them as I was taken a back by my surroundings.

I was in a barren all white room. An intense bright light seemed to be radiating from the walls. As I took in my setting, I became aware of a being several feet behind me. It was human shaped, but with no obvious appendages. It looked like a human shaped statue made of glass, filled with a swirling black smoke.

I slowly stood up, keeping my eyes on the being, slowly backing away from it. Its 'head' followed my movements. 'Apparently this thing is alive' I thought.

"Indeed, I am" came a female voice, seemingly resounding from the walls themselves. I was taken a back by this sudden revelation, backing up until I felt my head resting against the wall.

"What are you?" I asked, "where am I?"

"I am the Goddess" the voice said. "I am the creator of all existence, life, time and space. Your kind have given me many names over the millenia: Zeus, Jesus, Ramuh, but I prefer Gaia, the Mother of Earth. You are in the Room, my way of communicating with non-ethereal beings."

'Well shit' I thought to myself, 'I guess I really am dead.'

"Not quite" the goddess spoke. "The Room exists in between the planes of Life and ****. Therefore, those in it are neither living nor dead. This place" she said, raising her hands, "is for those that were unsatisfied with the life they were given and I have felt pity upon."

"So what am I doing here?" I inquired. "What's going to happen to me?" She took a few steps forward and the black smoke within her took on a calming hue.

"I know your heart's desire John, I know what you want from life: companionship. I have the power to grant that to you, should you except."

"And if I refuse?" I asked.

"Then your body will die, your consiousness becoming part of Eternity with all of my other creations."
