That day you moved your horse, Bree, to the castles' stables. There was no hay but it was better than being tied up in the cortyard. Also a horse in the courtyard was the equivalent of a sock on the door for knights. It meant that either the dragon was being slain or the princess was being claimed. Other knights would not interfere. The stables had been built to be used after the dragon had been slain by the concurring knight who would become lord of the land and king when the old king died; as your half-brother, whom you had never met, had saved a princess of another castle and would become the ruler in that kingdom. It was far off and separated by two neighbouring kingdoms so it was impractical to merge the two kingdoms or have him rule over both. You knew that it would be two days for Prince Lir to reach you. You slept in your room also built to be used after the dragon had been slain it was close to your half sister's room. The next day you and your mum made a plan of attack and made some changes to your armor to better protect you using some new gear from a knight your mother had defeated while you were gone. When night came you went to your room. You had visited and caught up with your sister the day before and she had helped you adapt the new armour but you and your sister often sneaked into each other's rooms many times before for midnight snacks or just for fun. You wanted to share with her your intimate encounter in the forest.
