A proposition (not that kind)

"Wait....Um, gym leaders are the same as trainers right? In that if you win you can ask them for anything?"

Ebony stopped walking after hearing this and slowly turned to face you an eyebrow raised an obvious look of curiosity on her face, you also couldn't help notice her father raise his head from his slouched position and seems to glare slightly harder now.

"Yes. As part-and-parcel of the whole law was; that NO ONE who utilizes Pokemon for battle, and are of age, may be exempt from it."

You felt yourself gulp from Giovanni's glare as he said this wondering what it is you're playing at.

"Then....in-instead of the TM or even the money if you want.....I would...like Ebony to accompany me with my other friend Green on our travels for at lest until I gain my 8th badge and then it's up to her."

The look of surprise and hope shone on Ebony's face, while her father looked like any moment now he was going to reveal his true identity as a fire-type Pokemon...on you.

"This is perfect dad. You did say I could only go on my journey if I had two others with me."

You could practically hear Giovanni countdown from 10 in his head, as his face no longer looked like a volcano ready to pop. He looked you over in a way like food you were trying for the first time that just doesn't smell right.

"And this GREEN? Are they a boy or a girl?"

As you were about to answer, speak of the Darkrai, Green came into the gym running up to you. You looked him over as he made his way over. He had apparently ultimately decided on a slight modified version of his female get-up from last night, keeping the pink boots, and the black and white shirt and blouse switching out the skirt for a tighter pair of shorts. Ditched the scarf and wig along with his cap. Over all very feminine male look.

"Huh, he's like a less subtle James."

You herd Giovanni Mumble but you were to busy to care showing Green your new badge, and him having a grin your pretty sure you were mirroring.

"Are you the boy Green that trainer Amber was talking about?"

The nervousness was obvious on Green's face after all Giovanni was an intimidating looking person. He somehow still managed to look the man in the eye and nod.

"Y-Yes sir my name is Green and I wish to ch-challenge you to a battle."

You could swear you could see the ghost of a smile appear on the mans face as he nodded to himself.

"Very well. I except your challenge, personally...And while you and I battle Amber and Ebony shale go pack."

Ebony was by her father side in a blur of speed as she looked him in the eyes.

"does that mean....?"

His harsh hard expression somehow softened as he gave her a genuine smile and a nod.

"Yes. You may go on your journey. But! Just as she said, you must travel with them, and NOT on your own. agreed?"

What happened next was both predictable and then unpredictable. She hugged him as she gave a happy laugh before grabbing your hand and pulling you with her as you are **** to match her run out of the gym Area and into the personal quarters. You spare a glance at Green who gives you a equal parts confused and scared wave as he is left alone to battle Giovanni.
