A place to stay

Firstly, I needed to find a house where I could stay the night. I certainly didn't fancy sleeping on a park bench or anything similar to that tier. It was late now and dark outside but with luck I managed to hail a cab and hopped in to the back of the car.

"Where to?" Said the burly driver who looked about forty after I closed the car door.

"I wish you'd take me to Park Avenue please." Park Avenue was full of some of the richest snobs I knew and rich snobs went hand in hand with expensive houses. My dad's apartment paled in comparison to the houses on that street.

"Park Avenue? Of course sir." Came the driver as the vehicle started to move. The ride didn't last very long and there was little conversation between me and the driver. The driver asked me for my money and in my mind I thought 'I wish you thought that I paid you.' The man thanked me and I hopped out of the car.

The houses were all as grand as I remembered them. I used to wish that I lived in houses like these in my childhood and now that dream could become a reality.
