The biggest one

Obviously my eyes settled on the biggest house on the road. As far as I knew the house was owned by a Mr and Mrs Hamilton. Gossip says that their marriage has started to fall apart after their only daughter left to attend college. Connor Hamilton was starting to look for a divorce which meant, of course, that Amanda Hamilton would have to leave the expensive property and lose the Hamilton family name.

I didn't really know how to go about taking control of the household as I only received my powers about half an hour ago. In the end I decided on the simple approach of knocking on the front door as even if it went wrong I reassured myself that I could wish for them to forget about me.

After walking down the long drive I knocked at the door three times and waited. Connor Hamilton answered the door and we just stared at each other for a few seconds. The rich businessman had short brown hair which was slicked to the side which matched the color of his eyes. This was the first time that I had seen him without a suit on as I suppose in the comfort of his own home he was allowed to wear casual clothes.

"Well?" He asked after a few seconds of silence.

"Oh, um, I wish that you would give me a tour of my new house."

"Your new house?" He queried.

"Y-Yeah."

"Well alright then, just don't tread mud on the carpets."

I smiled in relief as Connor held the door open and I could barely contain my excitement as I took in my surroundings. He showed me everything. The bedrooms, the dining room, the beautiful garden. He showed me the whole house full of luxury until we came into the final room, the lounge.

"And finally, this is the lounge. That concludes the tour of the house."

"What are you doing Connor?" Came an irritated voice from the armchair.

The woman was elegant with flawless skin. She had brown hair like Connor but unlike his, it was long with curls. She definitely looked around the same age as Connor, around 30, and was wearing a business suit as if she had just come back from work.

"Oh Amanda, this is Adam. I was just showing him round his new house."

"New house? What do you mean new house!" Amanda said suddenly alarmed.
