A phone call

“Mark your fucking phone is ringing! Answer the piece of shit before I launch it out the god damned window and into the ocean.” Jamie hollers as though I am not standing at the foot of the bed. “My head hurts to much for that much noise this early.”

Quickly I withdraw my hand from my shorts and hope to hell Jamie didn’t catch me. As I walk to the nightstand to grab my phone off its charger Jamie swings the blanket back over her body concealing it from me once again.

Again with the will for destruction I quip, “Why bother covering up? It’s not like I fuck your identical twin sister all the time. Not to mention I just saw everything and then some.”

“Why the hell am I naked and in your bed? You really are some sort of twisted pervert!”

“Seems to me that you wouldn’t accept any alternative last night. I even made sure Jennifer knew what was going on.” I waved my phone in front of her. “I just KNEW you would react like this when you weren’t totally shit faced. And for your info, YOU are the one who stripped and then curled up to ME.” With a very kirt and forceful tone I spit back at the naked woman in my bed.

Switching to a dismissive tone I continue, “You know what? I don’t got time for this shit, I have to be on the ice in an hour and a half at Staples.”

Softening my tone in a attempt to make peace. “If you are done acting like the victimized bitch, feel free to take your time and enjoy the place while I am out. You have your key.”

Finishing with a firm look and tone, “Otherwise get your shit together and get out of my house.”

Turning my back to Jamie I walk toward the walk-in returning my coaches call, “Yeah, sorry about that boss, I was in the shower...”

As I am talking with coach, he informs me he just wants to make sure I can still stick around for some game video footage after practice today. As I say goodbye and I finish getting dressed in a new tight fitting track suit I hear distinct sniffles coming from my bedroom.
