A pen and paper

Alyssa's hands grasped a little open box filled with pens and post-it notes. She grabbed a stack with one hand and a pen with the other. She quickly wrote down a question on the top post-it.

How do I get to my room?

The clerk smiled. "Well done madame. It normally takes other guests a while before they are able to work this out."

Alyssa gave a little shrug. "Mm meem-m mmrm."

"Third section of huts. Each section is marked by a concrete pad in between sections of the boardwalk," the clerk began to explain. "Your hut is in the second row of the third section, fourth on the right-hand side."

Alyssa wrote another note.

Thank you!

"Not a problem madame. Enjoy your stay."

Alyssa decided to keep the pen and stack of post-it notes. They could come in handy. She slid the notes down the front of her swimsuit, and clipped the pen onto the bottom of one of the cut-outs. Then she departed.

Following the line on the floor that lead up the stairs to the rigt of the pool area, Alyssa exited out to a boardwalk. Presumably the path to the huts.

The boardwalk was temporaril taken over by sand, but Alyssa carried on walkng, and the boardwalk came back. She could feel the wood under her bare feet. After a minute of walking, of which the journey took her around a corner, she felt a concrete pad underneath her feet. The start of the first section of accomodation. Alyssa continued walking. The concrete pad was replaced with the boardwalk again, and Alyssa continued some more distance until the next concrete pad.

Passing the third concrete pad, Alyssa was rather proud of herself and her navigational skills. She dragged her right foot along the skirting board of the boardwalk to spot the parts where the boardwalk opened up into a row. She located the first row, and then carried on to the second. Once she got there, she turned to her right and found the right wall, which consisted of a wall of hedges punctuated by similar gaps that signified an entranceway.

Alyssa stopped at the fourth gap and went up to the door she found. She heard a buzzing sound.

"Resident details confirmed. Enjoy your stay."

The door that Alyssa was leaning on opened up, and she stumbled into her room. She regained her footing before collapsing onto her knees.

Alyssa stood back up and hummed a little tune of victory. She'd managed to navigate here all the way without the use of her sight or her speech. A fairly impressive feat.

The first thing Alyssa did was find an end table that she could deposit the pen and post-it notes on. She then stripped off her swimsuit and tossed it behind her. Then she went on a little exploratory jaunt of her room.

The room was open plan, with a small kitchentette, tiny dining table, couches, and a bathroom that was part of the main room. The Shower was simply a wet area with three walls, one of which was made of glass, and no door. She suspected that anyone else who would be in the room would be able to see her showering. Not that Alyssa was expecting guests.

The weirdest thing was that there was not bed. Instead, Alyssa found a metal frame in the corner of the room that had stretchy material fixed to it. It was latex, the same material as her hood.

Alyssa was confused as to how this frame was supposed to replace a bed. She felt along one of the walls until her hand brushed a screen set in the wall. She heard it beep, and then the same voice from outside.

"Detecting blindfolded occupant. Activating automated verbal instructional mode."

Alyssa was pleasantly surprised. A virtual assistant. Very handy.

"Detecting gagged occupant. Occupant will navigate interface by touch. Touch dies of screen to scroll through possible actions."
