A party

The area in front of the cave has been cleared, and is filled with jostling forest spiders. Though night has well and truly come at this point, the luminescent designs suspended in the trees above provide more than enough light by which to see. Aside from the mass of spiders, the only other thing in sight is a large pile of web-wrapped bundles. As you look, you think you see a few of them wriggle slightly.

You turn to Hrax and ask, What are all those things piled over there?

"Food, My Lord," he replies, "Since you bestowed your blessing upon us, we have no need to eat, however we have found that we still enjoy the sensation. A few of us went out hunting earlier in preparation for this gathering. In fact, if you will excuse me My Lord, I will avail myself of some right now."

Hrax leaves and makes his way to the pile of bundles. As you watch, he grabs one the smaller bundles, and sinks his fangs into it. It almost looks like his sucking something out of it. You turn to see Dana watching Hrax with wide, fixated eyes. You know she eats food as well; does she want some?

Uh, are you hungry? you ask.

Dana looks at you with a nauseated expression. "Goddess, no!"

You are surprised by her vehemence, but also slightly relieved. The idea of watching Dana sucking on one of those wriggling sacks makes you somewhat uncomfortable.

The two of you move off to stand on the outskirts of the gathering watching the forest spiders interact. From what you can tell, they seem to be enjoying themselves. The air is filled with clicks and hisses as the spiders converse, and you see several spiders playing some sort of game using their webbing. Every now and again you see a spider visit the food pile and take a bundle.

While, watching the spiders party is hardly the most engaging activity, you are content to simply observe and spend time with Dana. She though, is not so satisfied. At some point, she grows tired of doing nothing, and grabs your hand, leading you away from the main gathering.

"Come on," she says, pulling you along.

Where are we going? you ask confused.

Dana looks back over her shoulder, mischief glinting in her eyes. "To have our own "private" celebration," she tells you.

You don't understand her meaning, but you follow along anyway, going deeper into the woods.
