Chapter 3 by Diamondqueen666 Diamondqueen666

Who are you hunting?

A party of scavenging humans!

The sun will set soon, and you're mindlessly rolling around town while there is still some light left. After raiding the counter of an empty corner store, you're blowing a flavorful pink hubba bubba when you notice something peculiar.

The Watcher is not standing motionless, as usual; He's running, jumping from rooftop to rooftop. He has seen something. For him to act this way can only mean one thing. Fresh meat.

Some of your fellow dead also notice him, and they begin to move in the same direction. But the Watcher is hard to follow, using the inert electric lines as bridges and cutting through entire blocks by threading over their roofs. Some zombies follow him for a while, but quickly lose him and then return to their mindless shambling. Not you, your skates allow you to rush through streets and alley, keeping up with him as he goes from building to building. Keeping your sight on him means your mind stays reminded that there is something to hunt.

He finally stops when he reaches the limit of a residential block. In front of him lays the highway, a long stretch of flat land with nowhere to climb and perch in sight. You catch up to him, staring at the wide road filled with empty vehicles. Hundreds of car which will never again roll, left to rot on roads that are slowly being reclaimed by vegetation.

You smell the air; Your nose is better at finding live ones than your eyes. You spit out the gum to help you better discern each scent. Above you, the Watcher hums the wind, his chest heaving as he frenetically inhale and exhale. However, your nose is better than his, and you're closer to the ground.

There it is. The unmistakable scent of living, active human. They're hiding somewhere nearby, thinking themselves invisible. But live ones tend to forget just how fucking pungent they are to the nose of a horny ghoul. The scent, no matter how faint, makes you shiver with glee and your cunt drools like the mouth of a starving pit-bull. You lick your lips, clench your hands, let out a meek involuntary moan.

You roll forward, trying to pick up the trail. Your dead heart beats once when your nose manages to identify that there is actually _more _than one distinct scents. Two? Three? Four? You cannot tell for sure, but it urges you forward. You _will _find them, and you _will _fuck them.

You give one quick look behind, and the Watcher is nowhere to be seen. He has climbed down, and is surely following, waiting for you to catch someone with your superior speed. It's a symbiotic relationship. He saw something in the distance, then guided you to it. And now, you are hunting the target for him. Did he lead you here on purpose, or is your presence merely fortuitous?

You don't think about the logistics of this interaction, for your mangled mind is too focused on the preys ahead. You're now certain that there are at least four, maybe more.

The trail runs hot, guiding you towards an abandoned RV. You roll around it, snaking between the dead cars, and after two turns it becomes clear that _they _are hiding inside. Scavengers, thinking there's something to loot in the husk of a city where you make your home. They stopped here before the night, thinking this vehicle to be a good shelter until the next morning when they'll make their way in town. At least, that is what you would guess, if guessing was still within your rational skills.

You reach the door, not because that's where you'd logically enter the vehicle, but because that is where the smell is the strongest. That's where the sweet, mouth-watering scent guides you, and you push your body against it. You rub yourself against it, run your hand up and down, try to bite through. Nothing works.

Something grows inside you. A hot seed of displeasure, slowly growing and filling you with burning rage. You don't rub the door anymore; You pound on it with your one arm. The door holds.

Then, you hear a noise. You look up, and meet the gaze of another woman. A beautiful, living human. She has long frizzy red hair, freckles all over, small brown eyes, and lips that looks just so... so... delicious.

She's also holding a crossbow, unfortunately, and the noise that caught your attention was when she cocked it. She slowly points it towards you, and you extend your arm in her direction as if you could catch her if you willed it hard enough. Your mouth opens and closes, the clacks of your teeth resonating around you.

She's shaking, struggling to press the trigger. She has clearly never shot a person, even a dead one. She lets out a long breath, and then close one eye, looking into her sight with the other.

You don't even fathom that your unlife is in danger when you watch the redheaded girl getting tackled. While she was busy bracing herself to shoot you, the Watcher had sneakily climbed on top of the vehicle to jump her from behind.

They tumble across the vehicle's roof, out of your reach. The woman screams and cries as she tries to hold the zombie's hands and head. The rage inside you grows fiercer. You guided this asshole here, showed him where the meat was and even distracted a cutie for him. And now, he's keeping her all for himself, leaving you stranded below, to drown in your unfulfilled desire.

You take a deep breath, and then let out a ear-piercing wail. For nearly twenty long seconds, you empty your lungs into the evening air. All around, voices respond, and zombies converge to your location.

The live ones inside know that their position is not secure anymore. They burst out the door, knocking you down in the process. You watch helplessly as one, two, three, four, five humans exit the vehicle. Two men, and three women. With the crossbow-wielder, there were six of them; No wonder their smell was so strong.

The redhead on the roof shout at them, "Help me! Heeelp! Please!"

But they do not help her. In a **** bid for survival, they leave her here as a loud distraction. Utterly panicked, they split and run in three different direction; A man and a woman, two women, and a lone man.

You grumble as you get back up on your skated feet. The screaming woman above is inaccessible, but the other five are running on the ground.

They're running fast, but your wheels are faster. You can catch them.

And so the chase begins
