A mischievous rogue

You narrow your eyes as you look around quickly, mentally marking off a Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat off the list of suspects. This is due to the fact that none was in sight and while a Kitty Pryde would be able to take someone’s underwear right through their pants (a fact you know very well, thank you Henry Wichaski’s Shadowcat), being invisible is not a usual ability for them. You see most Characters looking at you after your comment, most of them laughing at your misfortune. You quickly look behind you but you don't see any member of the ‘Financial Institution of Riften’ (or the Skyrim Thieves Guild for the uninitiated).

Hehehe, your eyes snapped to the booth a few table lengths away where the somewhat nervous chuckle came from. The female Kazuma looked like she just had her fist balled over the Musa waitress’s hand. But instead of money dropping into Musa’s hand, your boxers in their star printed glory were draped over her hand and she did not look happy and she made it known. “What gives? We don’t take trade and your sides are worth way more than underwear.”

“Hey! Those are mine!” You were already walking over when the female Kazuma thrusted her arm towards you once Musa was distracted with you.

“Steal!” She chanted and suddenly had your wallet in her hand. She grabbed a few bills and tossed it at Musa who caught it with a surprised look on her face. The female Kazuma jumped out of the booth with the Dani Phantom phasing past Musa and they started running towards the exit.

“Hey! Stop!” You started to run after them as the Kazuma still had your wallet and underwear and your girls were still getting out of their seats.

“Snipe!” You felt the impact barely three feet into your run. Sitting up on your knees, you rubbed your face as you picked up a napkin container. Feeling a couple of hands on your shoulder and face, you turn to see Marinette and Clover kneeling and checking your nose.

“Get back here!” Diana shouted as she charged after Kazuma (Kasumi?) and Dani once she saw I wasn’t too badly hurt. The Kazuma pushes aside a Misty as she runs out the front door straight past Toph who shivers and gasps at the unusual sensation when Dani phased through her. Ahsoka and Laura were quick on Diana’s heels and you didn’t want to be left behind, no one steals your wallet on your watch.

“Yeah! Get back here!” You grunted to your feet and started running after your harem girls and ended up in the middle of the group as we dodged passed tables and some of the other guests who had gotten up from their seats due to the commotion.

You were right behind Gogo and passing by the kitchen doors when…”Yelp!” you were suddenly pulled back by the back of your shirt.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Ryuko growled as she held you up by one hand. You only mildly stared at her, no strain could be seen in her arm. “Skipping out on the bill, punks?”

“Hey! Let him go!” Clover demanded as she, Alex, Marinette, and Gogo stopped to glare at the waitress. The others either didn’t noticed or figured the thieves were more important. Ryuko only rolled her eyes and pulled you close to her face, letting you close enough to notice that she had a familiar citrusy scent.

“Don’t worry about it minute maid, I’ll let him go once he pays for the bill,” she scowled. You snorted at the nickname she gave Clover, you were gonna tell the guards at work. Giving a grin as you pointed your thumb towards the entrance.

“In case you somehow missed it, they made off with my wallet. So I can’t really pay or give you the big tip,” you shrug helplessly. “By the way, do you know if they worked here in the wall or anything about their owner?”

Ryuko considered that for a second before shouting across the room, “Hey Musa! Who were those Characters? Where’d they come from?”

“I’ve never seen them before; they came in through the street side entrance,” Musa explained as she walked over, drying her hands with a rag. “They didn’t mention an owner and I didn’t ask.”

“Really vibrator gal? Nothing else? I really wanted to have a word with the bitch who went through me,” You did your best to turn your head so that the Toph was in the corner of your eye. She looked a bit nauseous and held her stomach.

“Stop calling me vibrator gal!” Musa glared at Toph venomously but the blind girl just laughed.

“Then stop vibrating so much.” Ryuko evidently decided that the conversation was getting off track.

“Well, you heard her, they’re probably privately owned or strays.” She set you back on your feet and gave you a once over. “We still need you to square away your bill, I’m not gonna be eating the cost. So either you need to wait for your hunting party to come back with either the thieves or your wallet, or you need to consider some… alternative payment.” She thrusted her chest forward.

You gave her a nod.

“And a 33% tip for all the trouble,” you chimed, selecting the option on the screen as Ryuko stood behind the counter with a stoneface. “Thank you for reminding me that I have like over a million rewards points here.” All those lunch breaks with your coworkers really paid off. It was good that here at Tomboy Outback, the rewards program is tied to a user’s phone number and email so you could access it without needing the rewards card.

“No problem,” she grunted and crossed her arms after handing you the receipt. You grin and lean in.

“When you’re back at the Lewis Court Tomboy Outback, I’ll give you the rest of your tip,” you whisper. She gave you a smirk.

“Oh, I’ll be getting that tip plus interest asshole,” She gestured towards the entrance leading to the mall, ending the conversation.

“Get out of here loose britches,” the Toph hostess said. You only sighed at the nickname, knowing that through Ryuko, your co-workers were gonna hear about it.

“Hold up,” Alex finally said once the four of you were outside of the Tomboy Outback. “Did you already know that girl?”

You took a moment before you answered to try to see if you could spot the path the Kazuma, Dani and your harem girls could have taken but all you saw was an overturned kiosk where an Elf girl was picking up homemade knick knacks and baskets and other damage that could have been them but could have been some other Character antic. “Yeah, Ryuko #828190 is on the Tomboy Outback’s callout team; she is moved from franchise to franchise if there is a staff shortage or whatever. She’s usually my waitress at the Tomboy Outback by my work and where I take lunch a bunch.”

“Should we be jealous?” Clover asked, a narrow expression on her face.

“Not more than usual?” You shrug, reaching for your phone. “I’m gonna see if any of the girls answer their coms.”
