A meeting

The drive doesn't take long. When the car comes to a stop, Black Widow pulls you out of the back seat and brings you somewhere not far from the car before she shoves you into a seat and removes the hood over your head. The first thing you see is Nick Fury, the famous head of SHIELD, sitting in front of you with his legs crossed while Black Widow stands off to the side. You look around and it seems like you're in the back of some massive freight truck that's moving.

"John Colins," Fury says your name.

You gulp and nod.

"5 rings, to manipulate time, strength, invisibility, teleportation and minds," he goes on, showing you that he knows exactly what your powers are. "Got yourself a job as a reporter. Found yourself a mansion. Stopped some random thief. Trip to Los Angeles. More random deeds. Quick trip to Milan. Bringing down the mayor of New York. You've been busy, mister Colins," Fury says, listing most of what you've been up to since coming into possession of the magic rings. You're unable to mask the look of surprise on your face, wondering how he knew all of those things. Sure, everyone alive knows that SHIELD is 1 of the most sophisticated organizations in the world with eyes everywhere, but you had never thought that they would be so good.

"You know, some of these things, well, are crimes. I could lock you up in a cell and throw away the key. I've done it many times," Fury continues. You breathe in deeply and exhale, trying to calm yourself down. At first, you were afraid that he's really going to lock you up, but you realize it's just a tactic. He wouldn't need to talk to you if all he wanted to do was to put you away.

"What do you want with me? You want to make me an Avenger?" you ask.

Fury smirks and exchanges looks with Black Widow.
