Chapter 12 by Thronx Thronx

What awaits Sett this day?

A meal, a dressing down, an apology

Sett didn’t know how much Evelynn’s magic had influenced him, but as he walked through the mansion in direction of the dining room, he felt more alive than ever. With her magic inside him, his thoughts only had orbited about lust, sex, women and the pleasure he wanted to feel. Now Sett finally enjoyed the warmth of the sun that shined in the great entrance hall and as he came near the kitchen and he smelled the breakfast through the door, his steps got even faster.

Sett almost burst through the door of the dining room and hasted towards the buffet. It was 7am and usually he didn’t eat that much for breakfast, but Sett felt he had starved a whole month and so he loaded his plate full with cheese, sausages and a number of candies that lied on the buffet. He was so busy getting his plate full with food, he didn’t even care that Yuumi was sitting in the middle of the fishplate and happily devoured a salmon.

Sett ate half a filled roll while he walked to an empty table and spent the next fifteen minutes hungrily eating everything he put on his plate. After he banished the first need to eat, he looked around to see who else was in the room yet.

Yuumi still sat right on the buffet and ate there, instead on a table. Gragas was snoring on his seat at the table, the big cask of ale next to him. Probably he didn’t even get in his room to sleep and just stayed here for the night, Sett thought and sipped on his own water.

Sett’s eyes found Yasuo, who sat on a single table himself and stared into nothingness, his drink barely touched too. From the distant he also might could be asleep.

On the other side of the room was a table with a very odd combination of people. Jayce and Sylas sat there with Ryze and talked so completely natural with each other that you might thought these three wouldn’t fight each other at the rift. Kennen, Shen and Akali also sat together and as Sett looked to them, Akali winked slightly, a smile flashed over her face. Sett replied her smile and raised his glass of water to her, before he drank it out.

After Sett finished his meal, he felt even better than before. Sure, he hadn’t slept much, he had been knocked out twice in the last 24 hours and his head still did hurt, but he wouldn’t complain. Thinking about to get in the gym again, he stood up and brought his plate away. He headed towards the exit, but before he could open the big doors they got opened from the other side.

Sett had to walk to the side as Tahm Kench, hefty, fat and in his usual tweed jacket, came waddling through the door. His yellow eyes widened and his big mouth turned into a wide smile which showed off his many teeth and his enormous tongue.

“Sett,” he said kindly and lifted his ridiculously small hat off his bald head. “Already finished to satisfy your urges?”

“There’s plenty of food left, Kench,” Sett said politely.

Tahm laughed and licked his lips with his fat tongue. “I meant your other half-human urges. But I am glad the fish is still not compromised by this little nuisance of a cat. Hope you have a pleasant day, my friend…and don’t be so dumb to take only half the meal, life offers to you.”

With a very knowing grin he waddled pass Sett, who looked at the fat creature, his good mood already being a bit subdued again. Tahm Kench was a demon as well, he knew that. Not in the least a demon like Evelynn, but a demon too. Surely, he knew very well what Sett had done yesterday.

Sett shook his head and tried to ignore Tahm’s words, starting to walk back in the entrance hall. Why bother with this oversized catfish at all? Tahm was known for being greedy for food, speaking way to eloquent and making deals only he could profit from. Also, which advise gave he to me? Sett thought. Don’t take half the meal. Is he saying I should…?

“Sett?”

Sett startled out of his thoughts as he heard his name and looked to the side. He was in the entrance hall once again and on the door stood three women. Vayne obviously called him, her eyes dangerously narrowed, her arms crossed. The other two women Sett recognized instantly too: On Vayne’s right stood a young woman, her long, black hair bound to a pony-tail, a rifle on her back. The other on Vayne’s left had pink hair, much more zaunish everyday clothes and her name tattooed on her cheek.

“Hey Sett,” Vi greeted him and waved her hand. She wore her Hextech-Gloves, which made her look even bigger than she already was.

“Ladies,” Sett said as he came closer. The look Vayne gave him was very intimidating, he had to admit. She looked at him like she wanted to condemn him at a wall right now, which was a very serious threat.

Caitlyn, who watched them both also noticed Vayne’s face and asked carefully: “Ehm…everything okay?”

“Yes,” Vayne said kindly and her expression got a bit milder as she nodded. “But I need to talk with Sett alone for a moment. You two know where everything is?”

“If you give us the keys, we’ll be fine,” Vi said and gave Caitlyn a very happy smile. “Right, cupcake?”

“Sure,” Caitlyn said and nodded. “Is…ehm…she here already?”

“No,” Vayne said and her face got grimly in an instant. “And I dare you.” She turned to Vi. “Do this shitshow again and you’ll regret it.”

“Hey, I didn’t start meeting up with Ziggs,” Vi said defensively and a bit surprised. “You sure everything’s okay, Shauna? You seem a bit stressed out already.”

“You could make your detective-girlfriend quite the concurrence,” Vayne said coolly and both Vi and Caitlyn shared a confused look.

“Alright, just don’t pull me into this mess,” Vi said and held up her hand. “Keys and you can give Sett a bollocking.”

Vayne nodded and sighed as she handed over Vi and Caitlyn one silver key. “Sorry,” she added as they walked towards the staircase. “I didn’t want to be mean, I just…ugh. It was a hard first day.”

“It’s alright, Vayne,” Caitlyn said and smiled at her. “Just tell me what happened afterwards, okay?”

“And don’t be too quiet,” Vi added with a smirk. “Your screams will distract from Cupcake’s in our room.”

Caitlyn’s face reddened immediately and she gave Vi a punch with her elbow. “Vi!” she said embarrassed.

“What?” Vi asked innocently and grabbed one of Caitlyn’s hands with her huge mechanical hand. “Come on, let’s discuss this upstairs.”

“Have fun you two,” Vayne waved her hand and Sett also nodded with a smile. Vi certainly had the same plans as him, as he arrived yesterday.

As he turned to Vayne, the smile on Sett’s face froze immediately. Vayne stared at him very angrily and looked more like the things she usually hunted, than a human.

“It’s the second day,” she started sweetly, her voice fitting not in the least to her face. “And my patience is already at an end, Sett.”

“I…”

“What did I tell you about ‘fucking with Eve’?” she interrupted him, before Sett could do anything more. “What did I tell you what would happen, if you fuck with her?”

“This advice came after I had sex with her,” Sett said and instantly regretted it.

“Oh, right I forgot!” Vayne shouted and pointed with her index finger at his chest. She was still shorter than him, but Sett suddenly felt very intimidated and tried to look ruefully.

“Vayne…” he started again, but now Vayne shouted at him and Sett had no chance of talking anyways.

“You are such an incredible blockhead!“ she yelled. “Maybe I should put a big sign over this entrance! Don’t fuck with Evelynn, guys, it’s totally not worth it! What are you Sett, a horny little teenager, who jumps on the bandwagon, the moment he got teased to get a quickie? I don’t get it! Why does everyone think she is something special? She is a whorish, little, slutty fuck-demon and everyone who fucks her regrets it the moment she is not satisfied! You silly, egoistic wannabee-stud!”

Vayne had to catch her breath for a few seconds, but before Sett could do more than clearing his throat and muttering: “I know, I fucked up…” she began to yell again and he couldn’t explain himself at all.

“Yes, you fucked up!” Vayne growled angrily. “You did fuck up on your first day, congratulations! Instead of coming directly to me, you just kept silent and don’t let me handle her! But it gets even better! I don’t know how you managed to break free from her control yourself, but instead of walking to me after that, you just decided to fuck three more women? How do you know that you didn’t infect them with her magic too? Are you really that dumb?”

“Are they alright?” Sett asked, suddenly very concerned. The fact that his magic somehow influenced Riven, Nidalee and Ahri too was a circumstance he hadn’t thought about at all and now he felt even more guilty.

“I don’t know, maybe you ask them yourself!” Vayne hissed angrily. “And you maybe also use the time to apologize. Riven nearly ****, Ahri already ****…”

“She charmed me…” Sett started

“And yet, she cried her eyes out after you got knocked out the second time!” Vayne shouted at him again and Sett felt like a bag of ice in his stomach.

“What?” he said tonelessly. “I didn’t…”

“Thought about it?” Vayne interrupted him harshly. “I figured that one out already. Men. Always the same, every fucking year.” She sighed annoyed and shook her head. “Alright. I hope you know what to do, Sett. Apologize…and maybe thank Miss Fortune. She gave you the QSS and practically helped you too with that. Understood?”

Sett just nodded and turned around hastily. He wanted to see Ahri immediately and Riven as well and apologize for everything that happened. He was near the staircase, as Vayne said loudly: “And come in my office today at 10 pm. There you’ll be properly punished for your misbehaviour too.”

Sett stopped, his foot on the first step and looked back. The look Vayne gave him wasn’t very promising and only increased his worries.

“Meaning?” he asked carefully. “What kind of punishment, are we talking about?”

A smile flashed over Vayne’s grim face. “Proper punishment,” she just repeated. “My office. 10 pm. Be there or I’ll make Thresh pull you into the room with his hook.”

Sett nodded, then he starts rushing up the stairs to his corridor. He stopped at Riven’s door and knocked. “Riven are you there?” he said to the closed door. “I…can we talk?”

He heard steps from the other side and as the door opened, Riven stood there in her usual clothes and looked at him very suspiciously. “Hey there,” she greeted him. “How are you?”

“Can we talk?” Sett asked her pleadingly.

“About what?” Riven asked him, raising her eyebrows. “Your manners?”

“I am sorry,” Sett said frankly. “So terribly sorry that I hurt you, Riven.”

“Actually, I thought you got hurt much more than me,” Riven said and with sudden playfulness. She even grinned at him, which surprised Sett even more.

“Ehm…yeah, you knew how to defend yourself,” he said a bit embarrassed. “Sorry, Riven. For everything.”

Riven just smiled at him and pursed her lips. “Apology accepted, Sett,” she then said. “But you didn’t hurt me that much. It was just a bit shocking to suddenly called ‘slut’ and getting attacked immediately after that.”

“Sorry,” Sett mumbled again. “I should have listened to your warning.”

“Told you,” Riven said and nodded. “At least you learned your lesson. And I am not begrudging, neither are the rest of us.”

“Really?” Sett asked carefully. “I…Vayne told me Ahri cried…”

“Wailing is more accurate,” Riven said seriously and Sett closed his eyes ashamed. “Fuck,” he sighed. “Where is she? I need to apologize too…”

“You won’t find her now,” Riven said softly. “She is busy.”

“Meaning?” Sett asked, opening his eyes again.

“Meaning, you rather would find a sober Gragas than her,” Riven answered chuckling. “And don’t bother with Nida too. Rengar arrived, which means she is completely off for the day, competing in their hunting-challenge. But don’t worry. Come to this room again, after diner and you’ll have the chance to apologize properly.” And before Sett could do more than look at her surprised, she closed the door and let him stay there, his mind not yet processing the things she said. Did she just invite me to come over? With Nidalee and Ahri too? It should be something to look forward, but yet Sett felt extremely guilty and Vayne’s tirade also did his thing to make him feel bad.

“Rejected?”

Sett looked to the side and saw a woman with auburn hair, in a golden plate-armor coming through the corridor. She looked like she came just from the battlefield with her big shield and the spear-like sword. Leona grinned at him very knowingly, yet a bit compassionate.

“No,” Sett shook his head, a bit confused. “Not really…eh. Difficult to explain.”

“I see,” Leona shrugged. “Second day and the drama is already in full swing.”

Sett nodded. “I just hope, it’s over now,” he muttered. “Well…” he cleared his throat. “You don’t know by chance, where Miss Fortune lives.”

“Second floor, other side of the building, west wing, third apartment,” Leona answered instantly, looking even more amused now. “Are you really didn’t get rejected, Sett?”

“Why?” he asked frowning.

“Because it wouldn’t be the first time that someone got rejected and went to Sarah almost instantly after that,” Leona chuckled.

“I just want to thank her,” Sett replied that.

“Thank her? Well, that’s also a way to put it,” Leona said and shrugged. “Have a good day, Sett.”

“See you, Leo,” Sett said and walked back towards the entrance hall, already imagining what Sarah Fortune would be like if Leona talked this way about her.

What is Sarah Fortune gonna be like?
