A look at each of the tables

They broke into three groups for dinner: Alex, Makayla, Gaby and Axe; Dr. Pittman with Brian and Erik, and Gina with Bianca and Sayen.

Erik was on his best behavior throughout dinner. Although Pitt had only been her "step-dad" for a little over a year, he had always tried to impress him, and even now broken up, kept up appearances. Dr. Pittman had confided in him after the breakup that he was sad it didn't work out. Of course the professor knew little of the actual relationship, but he saw Erik, and Brian, as being very similar to him. All 3 worked out regularly and he would often run into the two of them at the campus gym. They were discussing the limited weight lifting equipment available for them to use in the women's cabin and Pitt said he would check with Gina on whether they could use it early morning. Brian checked his phone and sighed.

Things were quiet at the ladies' table. Bianca was running through her notes for the planning meeting after dinner. Sayen was observing George (as she called Dr. Pittman at home) and Erik speaking. She had decided that tonight she would have it out with Erik, so they could at least have a cordial relationship this week, without all the glares and attitude. Gina was smiling as she thought about the special phone call her fiance had promised her later that night.

Things were a little icy at the last table as Makayla and Gaby were blatantly ignoring each other even as they sat next to each other. Alex picked up on it, but figured he's ask his girlfriend about it later. Alex turned to Axe.

"So just you Erik and Gina after dinner, that should be um... fun."

"You know I don't let him bother me," Axe replied.

"He was nice to me earlier," Makayla added.

"Yeah he's okay, until her perceives you as having crossed him," Alex replied looking over to Erik and then to Sayen.

"Or if you have boobs," Axe added under his breath so only Alex heard him, which earned him a light elbowing.

As the dinner continued Alex felt a foot run up his leg, but as he looked to Makayla she gave no indication of having done it. He then looked to Gaby who also seemed innocent, not that he thought it was her anyway.

As they cleaned up Bianca announced that the groups would meet for an hour or two planning session, Student Activities in the guys cabin and Student Government in the ladies' cabin. Since they weren't actually officers, just reps invited to be part of the week, Alex, Gaby and Sayen were told they could have the time to do whatever they wanted. Gaby asked Alex if he wanted to shoot some hoops as she'd noticed the small court on the far side of the parking area. Alex agreed and in turn invited Sayen to join them
