A little mind control

After Tegan left, Emma hopped over to your side and hugged your arm, leaning her head on your shoulder. "It's so nice to have you back... And I like this. Just you and me like it used to be. Like it should be."

You furrowed your brow at that last part and looked down at her, your eyes catching her gaze. She had such beautiful eyes... You could get lost in them. You felt her hand on your cheek; it was electric! "You love my touch, don't you, John? Tell me honestly."

"Yes..." You replied in a trance like state. You found your mind cloudy. It was difficult to think on anything— anything except for Emma.

"That's because you love me. You always have, haven't you?" She asked again.

"Yes."

"Why didn't you ever ask me out?"

"I didn't think I'd have a chance," you replied matter-of-factly.

She frowned at your response. Emma thought she'd made her needs and desires as clear as she could have been, but apparently not. No matter. Since discovering this power, she didn't have to beat around the bush anymore. She could draw out those emotions and play on them, pulling you to her.

"Listen, John; listen only to my voice. From now on, my opinion is the only one that matters to you. You want to ask me out. You'd love nothing more than to go out on date with me. But you have that pesky wide, don't you? She'll make things difficult. But you really want to ask me out, don't you?"

She was right; you did. You wanted to go on a date with her more than anything in the world! But Tegan was in the way; you'd need to figure out a way around her. You couldn't very well tell your wife that you were going on a date with your best friend. But, hey! You didn't have to tell her it was a date!

"Yes!" You nodded feverishly.

"Good boy. Once I snap my fingers, you will wake up. The only thing you will remember is your resolve and solution to asking me out," Emma smiled and snapped her fingers.

It took a moment, but you were brought back to reality. "Ah, sorry, Em... Kinda blanked out there for a second."

"Don't worry about it! Anyways, you were just about to ask me something?" Emma kept looking up at you with her beautiful doe-eyed gaze.
