A little guidance is called for.

"Hi, there!" Monica said with a courteous smile. "I'm Monica. How can I help you?"

"Hey, Monica," Brad said. "I'm Brad, and this is Daphne." He gestured to the crumpled form lying next to him on the bed. "She's a golem I just purchased, and you're the sales representative golem."

"Of course," she said sweetly. "Has our performance been satisfactory so far?"

"More than satisfactory."

"I'm so glad to hear that!" Monica replied sincerely. "The company takes great pride in its products, and-"

"I don't care about that right now. I want you to tell me what some of these scripts do and help me decide on a new one for D."

She nodded. "Of course. What were you hoping to do with her today?"

Brad quickly walked her through the events of the previous twenty four hours. "...so I really like D and want to keep hanging out, but I also want to try some other scripts. D seems like a cool dude but there's so much more to explore, right?"

"Absolutely! If you're looking for a contrast, might I suggest one of these?"

Monica held out two scripts she had plucked from the case. As he took them, she explained their functions. "The one on the left is symmetrically opposed to D's behavior. This is a hyper-feminine, excessively girly script. Unlike D, she has no built-in relationship with you. You'll define it for her - she can be your wife, your ****, your roommate, or your butler. Whatever you choose, she'll fill that role in the most feminine way possible."

Brad was interested but not decided and gestured for her to continue. "The second script is more opposed to D's relationship to you. In terms of behavior, she'll be average, neither overly feminine nor masculine. The distinct element of this script is how she treats you; you'll be 'one of the girls', so to speak. Daphne will have no shame or modesty around you. She'll essentially ignore the sexual component of your relationship. Giving you oral sex will be no different than making you dinner, and getting naked for you will be no more risqué than singing happy birthday."

Brad nodded and thought about the two scripts. "Of course," Monica added, "there are many other scripts to try as well. These are just two that I recommend based on your stated desires. Would you like more suggestions?"

Brad nodded and she continued. "We have a basic seduction script, which is pretty self-explanatory, and the girlfriend script-"

"I gave you that one already," he said.

"Ah! How was I?"

"Great," he said. "But I'd like something a little more interesting."

Monica nodded. "Of course. There's the Adherent script. She'll treat you like a divine or religious figure, not just obedient but servile and worshipful. In the other direction, we have ways to make her bitter, angry, and resentful. She can't harm you, obviously, and she'll be completely obedient, but it will be an unwilling obedience. I see you also chose a starter pack of modifier scripts. These can be overlaid onto her personality, causing her to be overcome with lust or love or hate or even boredom. Would you like to hear more?"

Brad shook his head. "I've made up my mind."
