Chapter 10 by jw_wjw

Now that Jessica has this information, what will she do?

A line of questioning that might backfire

"Good, now we're getting somewhere," Jessica leaned back in her chair, going easy for now, "tell me, are you more or less excited than when you are nude in front of your peers?"

Renee thought long and hard about that question, still blushing and looking away from her therapist.

"I don't know if I'd say more or less 'excited', but I'm less embarrassed since you are a medical professional..."

"That makes sense," Jessica continued, "but I do have to inform you that I am a psychologist, not a psychiatrist. That means I only focus on your psyche and cannot prescribe medication, so I wouldn't say I'm a 'medical professional'."

"Still," Renee tried to backtrack, "you've seen other people in compromising positions before, right? Like being naked, right? Other people have been naked in front of their therapists, right?" Renee ended that last question with a nervous giggle, looking for her therapist's reassurance that she wasn't crazy for being naked - nay, made to strip! - in front of her therapist.

"I cannot divulge that information," Jessica reminded Renee of her confidentiality rules, "but it doesn't matter - you are not those other people, clothes or no clothes."

"God damn it!" Renee started panicking, "my whole problem is not wearing clothes when other people are wearing clothes, and now look at me, butt naked in front of a therapist when other people are fully dressed!" At this point Renee was almost hyperventilating.

Jessica began to worry, fearing she would damage her relationship with the sexy client before she could even get anywhere and satisfy April's (and her?) wants.

How does Jessica try to calm Renee down? Does she retreat or advance?
