A letter from lumine

Chapter 134 by Mrservus Mrservus

Aether unfolded the letter with care.

The handwriting was unmistakably Lumine’s — the same clean, slightly impatient strokes he remembered from a lifetime of shared notes and maps. The letter itself ran longer than he had expected, the tone warmer and more open than the careful distance she had kept for so long.

Aether,

I hope this reaches you after the Flame has done its work. Mavuika promised she would wait until the Pilgrimage was finished. I’m holding her to that.

First — hello. Properly. I’ve missed you more than I ever let myself say out loud. I know the way I’ve stayed ahead of you must have looked like rejection. It wasn’t. It was self-control, and even that was barely enough.

I can’t see you yet. Not now. If we stood in the same room I’m certain we would get nothing done. We would fall into bed (or against the nearest wall, or onto the floor) and we wouldn’t surface for days. Possibly weeks. I miss your cock. I miss the way you fuck me until I forget every plan I ever made. I miss waking up still full of you. But I cannot allow that right now.

The last time we stopped holding back, the Keeper of Heavenly Principles herself intervened. She tore us apart mid-marathon and scattered us for a reason. Celestia does not want us together and free. Every nation we strengthen, every Archon we pull further from their control, every root we put down in this world weakens the cage they built. That work still matters more than how badly I want you inside me again.

So keep going. Help the nations. Break their hold piece by piece. Make the world safe enough that when we finally stop running we can stay in one place and breed without looking over our shoulders.

When that day comes, find me. I won’t run anymore.

Until then — stay alive, stay hard, and remember that every load you spill on this journey is practice for the ones you’ll give me when we’re finally free.

I love you.

Lumine

Aether read the letter twice in silence.

A small photograph slipped free from the folded pages and fluttered onto Aether’s thigh.

Lumine stared up at him from the image in her signature pose — face down, ass raised high, knees spread, the familiar curve of her back and the soft give of her cheeks on full display. A smeared kiss mark in dark lipstick sat just above the cleft of her ass, the kind of careless, intimate stamp she used to leave when she wanted him to know exactly where to start. Even in still ink the invitation was obvious.

Aether let out a long breath he felt like he had been holding for months.

The constant pressure of the chase — the sense that every delay cost him another chance, that a timer was always running somewhere behind his ribs — finally loosened. She was not running from him. She was waiting for the world to be ready. The difference settled over him like warm water.

He looked up at Mavuika, still standing nude and unbothered at the edge of the couch, and reached out. His palm landed in a firm, grateful slap across one full cheek, then stayed there, absentmindedly kneading the warm flesh while the rest of the harem continued to claim their overdue attention around him.

Mavuika’s breath caught. A low warning rumble left her throat even as she pushed back into his hand.

“Careful, Passion Claimer. You keep that up and I’ll be back on your cock before the festival drums stop. My responsibility only stretches so far.”

Aether gave the handful of Archon one more slow squeeze, then let go with a tired, crooked smile.

“I need a vacation,” he admitted.
“All this chasing… I’m exhausted.”

Mavuika’s expression softened into something almost fond, even as the heat in her eyes stayed lit.

“Then take one. Natlan will still be standing when you’re ready for the next fire.”

Around them the restless harem showed no signs of agreeing that rest was required, but for the first time since he had set foot in Teyvat the road ahead no longer felt like a countdown.
