A less quiet drink

At this point it seemed like I was going insane, however even if that was the case, I would have to be out of my goddamn mind to turn down an offer like this. Even if the night ended in disaster I couldn't exactly turn down a night like this, also at the very least this would be a interesting story to tell. "Sure I'd like that" I say sipping down the rest of my drink, "fantastic, where are we going?" He asks as he finishes his drink "but you asked me?" I reply confused. He sets his glass down "hey one of us lives here, and it's not me" he jokes, drawing a laugh from me "fair point, you down for anything specific or you want me to choose?" I ask, "I'd rather not get recognised, I think one needy fan is enough." he says with a wink "other than that just show me the best the city has".

As we left I began to think about where exactly we should even go, like sure I'd love to take him to my usual nightclub of choice but as an alt/emo club he was getting recognised... Hell I wouldn't be surprised if most of the people in there right now had come straight from the concert. I walk us towards the main strip of town where the clubs are, thankfully I had time to think especially since we did have to stop for some guys who wanted a photo with him. Eventually it hits me Barpop, now that place was a real guilty pleasure of mine, just 2010's white girl pop all night, every night. No one in there would have even heard of his band, I'm pretty sure the overlap was just me. I guide Jay to the pink neon lit nightclub, "this is the best the city has to offer?" He jokes, "hey you said you didn't wanna be recognised didn't you?"

I could tell this wasn't his scene initially but after a few drinks he was singing along to Kesha and Katy Perry like the rest of the club. It may be a guilty pleasure but they're absolute bangers and I will stand by that till my dying breath. We dance and sing and have a few more drinks, soon I'm pretty tipsy and my night had made a full recovery the earlier argument with my boyfriend a distant memory.

The liquid confidence coursing through my blood had made me bold, I was dancing with a famous guitarist who I had a major crush on and I was making the most of it doing my best sexy dancing that my inebriation allowed me to perform. I couldn't help but notice how his eyes just lingered that little bit more on my body as we moved, my insecurity was telling me that it was nothing but I couldn't help but get my hopes up that this may end up in something a bit more.

Eventually I built up the courage and in the break between songs, I lean in and kiss him, he pulls back suddenly and my heart freezes thinking I had fucked up and ruined this night, "of course he isn't into me. He's a fucking rock star he could have anyone. He did this to cheer you up and you blew a good night" I berate myself. Jay leans in and whispers in my ear "are you sure? What about your boyfriend?" My heart is pounding so hard from his words I feel like it may just rip itself out of my chest, I nod my head my mouth dry with nerves. Once the green light is given, he leans in himself and we kiss on the dance floor, pop music blaring as our tongues danced to the rhythm. I was in heaven, this was dreams and fantasies material and it was really happening. We part and I gaze into his big brown eyes "wanna get out of here?" He asks, it takes all myself control to not scream "YES!!!!", I nod biting back my excitement not wanting to be too keen.
