Walking back to work..
A leisurely walk
Not wanting to leave anything to chance. I decided to send Jane a quick text.
Me: What time would you unlike me over?
It was only a moment or two when Jane shot back .
Jane: 6:30 :)
Me: Perfect! See you then.
I figured I would probably have enough time to have dinner with Jane and probably see what Amara wanted.
I thought about how she might blow off steam, given that all I knew about her was that she worked at the convenience store and apparently was good with a bat.
‘Well, that’s not true’ I thought to myself. Thinking back on it, she Had told me over the years that she had some siblings and her family had come over here shortly after she turned 21.
And that was.. four years ago?
Also hadn’t she said she gotten her degree in folklore and history?
That was where my thoughts stopped on l recollections when I saw something that made my blood run cold.
On a telephone poll there was a ‘Missing’ poster.
It showed Mark. The guy Chantal had roped in.
‘Fuck’ I said out loud.
Hadn’t Liz said he got scooped up by a couple at the store? I needed to ask her when I changed her back..
