A large coat

Nanako was barely able to get the large coat on by the time her boss caught up to her. However, when he saw her, he paused, looking surprised as if he wasn’t expecting her. He glanced at her coat and frowned as she flashed a nervous smile, sweating dripping down her face.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“T-Trying on an outfit to see if I want to buy it later?” she said. She couldn’t help but tremble knowing she was almost completely naked in front of her boss. He narrowed his eyes at her, and she braced herself for him telling her to take off the coat. If he did, she’d run. She didn’t care if it got her in further trouble, it would be better than him finding out she was naked. He stared at her for a long time, long enough that she shifted on her feet.

As his gaze went down, she had a sudden realization that she hadn’t properly latched the coat. It was slightly open in the front, and if he noticed at all, it was over.

Bob kept looking at her, and just when she thought she’d been busted, he finally spoke again. “Are you wearing your vest?”

“Yes!” Nanako answered without thinking.

“Well, you left a spare one in the island, and that’s slobbish. Don’t let it happen again, alright?” he said. “Now, have you seen a…er…naked person running around?”

“N-Naked?!” Nanako sputtered, and her boss blushed.

“Yes, I thought I just saw a streaker running around, though I didn’t get a good look at her face,” he said, and Nanako breathed a sigh of relief, even if she wasn’t fully in the clear yet.

“N-No sir, I haven’t,” she replied, and the man grunted.

“Well, let me know if you do, alright?” he said as he began to turn away. “And take that damn thing off, you can try it on after your shift.”

With that, he finally walked away, and Nanako let out an even louder sigh of relief.

It was time to leave. Sure, taking the coat would technically be stealing, but at this point, she didn’t really care. She’d return it once she got some clothes.

She made her way towards the elevator.
