Before you have time to think about it you just say it, "A kiss should do it."

She looks at you. Incredulously. "Seriously?"

Your skin is electric. You're heart is a double beater. "Yeah." It barely feels like you're in your body. There is only her eyes. Her lips. "Your lips to my lips. One kiss, and I'm sure I'll be fully recovered."

For a second, Agent Jess processes. But it's obvious she wasn't contemplating, "you're a dork."

You grin toothily, "I know."

Now your skin feels hot and toxic. Shame and embarrassment and regret take over.
