A kinky anniversary present from an old friend
Years ago, during one particularly embarrassing adventure, Hilda had befriended a surprisingly cute and sweet drow woman named Salza.
Salza* had been training to be a priestess, but bless the girl's heart, lacked the ruthlessness necessary to succeed in drow society, so instead she had been exiled to the surface world where she was working as a bar tender.
The two had met under some embarrassing circumstances, but through their shared adversity had become dear friends, and still remained very close all these years later.
In fact, Salza, with some help from Hunk, had procured a very special anniversary gift for her friend and lover: A genuine S'Hutav Lu'Al, or "Creeping Lover plant" as it was known to surface dwellers.
It was a large plant native to the Underdark (and thus thrived in the darkened basement of Hilda's keep). It consisted of numerous vines all sprawling out from a large, bulbous central root (a root that looked surprisingly phallic to the more dirty-minded people who viewed it).
But what makes it very strange and sought-after is the way it acts. The plant grows very animated when it detects the heat and co2 emissions from a typical living being, grabbing whatever it can. It is also a strangely curious plant, and thoroughly examines anything it catches by rubbing its many, many tentacles/vines across and into anything it can grab.
Luckily the plant itself is quite gentle with its prey, and does not do anything with them except 'examine' them for a good long while until it seems to grow bored of them (which can sometime take hours, depending on how much its prey resists).
Some say the Creeping Lover is a failed experiment by a drow sorceress, looking for a cheap way to bolster security. Others say it was invented by a kinky brothel owner and works exactly as intended. But regardless of the discussion, one thing has remained constant: the demand for such an exotic, strange, and to some, alluring plant.
And it was in this room, the one that pirate Patty had so greedily opened just now, that Salza's gift was lying in wait.
