A jogger

"Isn't it a little early for drink?" A voice mocked. I turned my head to find the resident fitness nut and my neighbor, Janna, standing before me with a look of smug superiority on her face. She was wearing a tight purple yoga pants and a lovely blue sports bra that left nothing to the imagination. She was as sexy as she was annoying and she knew it.

"Not early enough." I sighed as stumbled into a nearby wall, the pendant in my hand. I was still off my balance, only barely hanging on by propping myself on a nearby tree. "Isn't it a little early for you to annoying me?" I retorted.

"You're the one looking like he might puke on pavement." She responded. "Or is that how you usually look, I can't really tell," She chuckled.

"Oh shut up." I tossed the pendant at her. It wasn't really meant to hurt her just scare her off. Unfortunately it had the opposite affect. She caught it mid air.

"Really...you can't even throw properly. No matter, I think I'll keep this." She said as she pocketed the pendant and continued off. "If you make it back to my apartment sober, maybe I'll give it back."

"Screw you," I told her as she already started jogging away.

"You wish." She told me.

As she left, I leaned against the tree, feeling myself get more and more light headed. Maybe I just needed to catch my breath. Either way as leaned there I felt myself slowly fading away.

Meanwhile Janna had just entered her apartment, the pendant still with her. Taking out the the little trinket she eyed it with disgust. "That pig...why would he even have such....interesting jewelery..." Janna spoke in an almost trance like state as she stared at the pendant. Initially she thought it looked cheap but now that she got a better look it wasn't half bad. Maybe she should try it on.

She unclipped the pendant and then slid it around the neck.
