A humble Slime

Beings of pure elemental energy, slimes are generally considered more of a nuisance than anything else. While they can grow to be a problem if left unattended, this is counteracted by the fact even those without Visions are capable of handling them, even slimes that have gathered in large groups.

But what, pray tell, would happen if a slime were to become... ambitious? If these lowliest of lowly creatures were to rise higher than the lot in life that had been granted to them? Our story today follows just such a slime, one who, either through fate, providence, or sheer dumb luck, is about to become something its feeble, simple mind could never have imagined.
