A honk in the middle of the night?

Jade woke up.

At first she didn’t know what had happened. She just suddenly awoke, seemingly without rhyme or reason.

Then she heard it. The sound of a car horn. Or was it a car? It didn’t sound like any car horn she knew.

The sound seemed to have come from outside. Jade walked over to the window.

She was greeted by the sight of the offending vehicle, whose owner was honking its horn in the middle of the night, disrupting the neighborhood’s sleep.

It was a white van. Jason’s white van.

Jade’s heart leapt. She checked her phone. A message from Jason read: Come down :)

Jade clicked her tongue. Jason’s intention was exceedingly obvious. So the bastard decided to spring this on her, huh...
